Chapter 01: Ignored

Umaga na naman at simula na ng isang bagong araw at klase para kina Loki at Lorelei. Bumukas ang isa sa mga pinto sa apartment at bumungad ang isang lalaking magulo ang buhok. He is wearing his blue pajamas at humihikab pa habang naglalakad papuntang kusina. He was surprised to see the empty kitchen. Usually kasi ay maagang gumigising ang roommate niya at nagluluto.

'Why is she late today?' Napatingin si Loki sa pinto na katabi lang ng kwarto niya. It's closed. Lalapit na sana siya at kakatok nang bigla itong bumukas.

He saw Lorelei hugging Theodore while rubbing her sleepy eyes. She yawned and put the huge teddy bear on the soft couch. Napainat si Lorelei at inayos ang magulo niyang buhok.

Loki's lips twitched as he watch his roommate. Lorelei would never do such thing in the living room since she knew that he is with her, and he never imagined her to be like this. Lorelei would be embarrassed if he saw her looking unladylike. Pero anong nangyari sa kaniya ngayon?

"Lorelei, why is Theodore with you? Don't forget. He is MY teddy---" he started to speak but Lorelei just pass through him and went straight to the bathroom. Loki's mouth went agape. She completely ignored him like he is just a puff of smoke!

'What's wrong with her?'

Loki narrowed his eyes looking at the direction Lorelei just took. He is deducing what could make Lorelei act like that pero mukhang malas niya ngayon at parang naubusan siya ngayon ng detective juices sa utak. He, sometimes, couldn't understand his roommate at all. Napakamisteryoso niya kasi at kahit almost everytime na nahuhulaan niya ang nasa isip ni Lorelei, there are rare times na hindi niya ito mabasa. Loki took one last glance at Lorelei's direction and returned to the kitchen to make some coffee.

Deretso lang sa kwarto si Lorelei pagkatapos maligo. Wala siyang imik at hindi man lang binati si Loki ng 'good morning' like she usually does - masaya man siya o hindi. Loki really started to think that she's acting strange.

'It's not like we had a misunderstanding and made her mad this past few days for her to be like this,' he thought.

He couldn't take his mind off this topic as he prepared himself for school.

Sinusuot ni Lorelei ang kaniyang sapatos ng lumabas ng kwarto si Loki. Hindi siya nito nilingon at patuloy lang sa kaniyang ginagawa. She straightened up and fixed her hair in front of the mirror.

"Are you okay, Lorelei?" Loki asked hoping to receive a reply but the girl he is talking to just walk outside, closing the door with a loud bang!

Loki is really confused now. 'Is she abducted by an alien and replaced her? Or is she possessed?' Bubuksan na sana niya ang pinto nang mapansin niya nakalock ito. And it can only be opened outside. Simula kasi nung ninakaw nila ang Pandora's box ay nagpakabit na rin sila ng padlock sa labas at hindi iyon basta basta malo-lockpick since isa iyon sa mga inimbento ni Herchel. It can send signal to Lorelei and Loki's phone if something beside the key they hold enter the keyhole.

It is amazing but it was quite an annoyance to Loki right in that moment. He was locked inside the apartment!!

"Lorelei, you abominable girl!" Hindi mapigilan ni Loki na magngitngit sa galit habang dina-dial ang number ni Herchel. He thought of asking the landlady to help him but he didn't bother.

'I would waste time trying to explain this mechanism for her,' Loki thought.

He's going to let Herchel reprogram the lock para makalabas na siya dito! Akala ni Loki nung una ay hindi seryoso ang mood ngayon ni Lorelei but he is now sure that Lorelei needs some treatment!

Isang nakangiting mukha ang bumati kay Lorelei pagkapasok niya ng school. It's Jamie, one of the QED-4.

"Hi, Lori! Nasaan si Loki dear? Ba't 'di mo kasama? May nangyari ba sa Loki dear ko? Is he sick? Maybe I should cook a porridge for him?"

Marami siyang tinanong at nasabi pero iniwasan lang siya ni Lorelei at nagpatuloy lang na naglakad papuntang building.

Lorelei was greeted by some of her classmates but she completely ignored them unlike what she usually do. Maraming nagtaka pero binalewala lang nila iyon after some time. Bumungad sa kaniya ang mala-prinsipeng mukha ni Alistair sa hallway. Kasama niya ngayon si Rosetta at nakangiting bumati sa kaniya ng 'Good Morning'.

Pero gaya ng ginawa niya kay Loki at Jamie, hindi niya pinansin ang dalawa at iniwan ang mga ito. "Wow. She ignored you too?"

Hindi makapaniwalang tanong ni Jamie na sumunod kay Lorelei. She thought that she might have upsetted Lorelei for the girl to ignore her like that but it doesn't seemed like it since she ignored her classmate and her childhood friend too.

"Strange, isn't it?" Rosetta asked while Alistair and Jamie nod at her. Magsasalita na sana siya ulit pero tinawagan siya ng isa niyang kaibigan Kaya nagpaalam na siya sa dalawang detective.

"May nangyari ba kahapon? Nasaan si Loki?" Tanong ni Alistair pero napailing lang si Jamie sa kaniya.

"Hindi ko alam. Demeretso lang tayo sa kanya- kanya nating bahay after school kahapon and as for Loki, wala pa siya, nakita kong mag-isa lang pumasok si Lorelei kanina."

"Well, let me ask her." Alistair said as the two separate ways. Si Alistair at Lorelei lang ang magka-section so si Alistair ang pwedeng magtanong sa kaniya and he is her childhood friend kaya pumunta si Jamie sa classroom niya without worries. But little did she know that Alistair failed to talk to Lorelei kasi hindi ito pinapansin ng dalaga kahit anong sabihin pa niya. Tinulugan niya rin ang klase at hindi na talaga mapigilan ng knight in shining armour na mag-alala sa kaniyang 'alaga'.

'Lorelei, anong nangyari sa iyo?
