"do you like akane-chan?" l/n heard a voice behind her say. not one she particularly recognised though.

"yeah, i suppose so..." she hesitated, wondering why someone she didn't even know would be asking.

"you're l/n, right?" the man, with slightly long hair asked.

"yeah. you?" she was curious to how this person knew akane in the first place. perhaps a previous senpai, a school alumni?

"kozume kenma. call me kenma. in case you're wondering, i know akane because i was teammates and friends with her brother," then sitting on the seat next to her.

"if that's the case, i take it you're a recent alumni?" l/n asked, wanting to confirm her theories.

"pretty much. i was the volleyball captain last year too. but i want to ask, how long have you known akane?"

"only since the beginning of the year. it went way too quick for my liking," she sighed.

kenma hummed at her answer, "if it's her sexuality you're being doubtful about, i wouldn't worry. she's a lot more open-minded than you think, so i'd assume she's pansexual. and don't be hesitant. you're bound to regret it one day."

l/n blinked her eyes in surprise. 

'he got all that from observing me?'

"my observancy has increased the past year. now i manage to do it without a second thought," he added.

"you're not easy to read though," he continued, "whether you consider that a bad thing or not."

"you only get a few hours off per week?"

"yeah. i should probably get going now. i've already talked to the team for a bit. take care of akane-chan, l/n."
