I wake up and look out the window, it's flurrying, nothing to bad.  By the time I get to school there's  about three inches already on the ground and it's falling much heavier now.

When I walk into the music building I am fully covered from head to toe.  I soon spot Mel and walk over shaking my head like a wet dog.  She starts laughing until I get her wet.

"Liz quit it, your getting me wet."  After a short pause of getting herself back in order she says "guess who's not here today."

"Um" I quickly scan the room looking for a missing person to answer her question.  I come up empty it seems that everyone is here.  This is what worries me who could possibly be missing.  Than it hits me, I have been in this room for at least ten minutes and have not been approached by Mike.  I do another quick scan and realize that Mike is no where to be seen.

I quickly turn back to Liz with a smile plastered to my face.  She smiled back at me and nodded her head.  "He's not here, Mike's not here how could I miss that."  I start trying to figure out how I didn't realize this sooner but again come up with nothing.  "This is going to be a good day."

For once I could actually focus in Band without someone making faces at me every two seconds from down the row.  If band could be this good, think of History.  That class is going to be complete bliss.

We wait by the door to hear the familiar ringing of the bell letting us leave the class.  Once it sounds we all run out of the classroom and into the snow.  Very soon the snow started to fall more, and more heavier every minute and more blinding every second.  It had come so suddenly that no one had a chance to make an announcement.  Unlike my fellow classmates I had to go across the practice field to get to my next class.

I heard something but I couldn't make it out.  I kept walking forward across the field trying to get to my second block.  In the distance I started to make out a large black shape as I got closer I was able to make out two men dressed in black.

I turned to start walking in the other direction but the men had already seen me and were coming towards me.  I tried to run but I tripped over something on the ground.  They easily caught up with me after that,  they had come and stood over me as I tried to get myself back together.

I was able to get a good luck at these guys.  One was very tall and black.  The other was a rather short  white man. They both looked like they belonged in the FBI or something to that nature.

The tall man grabbed my arm and pulled me up back on my feet.  His grip was so strong I could feel my bones breaking in my arm underneath his grip.

The tall man started to speak "Elizabeth Jane Taylor, you have been chosen.  Resistance is futile."  Resistance is futile, what is he a robot.  He spoke with such a deep and strong voice with no emotion at all.

Now the second man started to speak "You will come with us without struggle or there will be consequences."  The tall man started to loosen his grip on my arm.  I decided that the best thing I can do is to try to make a break for it.

The tall man turned to look at his partner, he started to whisper something that I couldn't make out.  This was my chance to make a break for it.  I ripped my arm out of his grip turned and ran.  Before I could get very far I fell to the ground.  My back suddenly had a searing pain in it that quickly traveled to the rest of my body,

I craned my neck to see two wires sticking out of my back.  The wires were connected too a device being held by the shorter man.  As my vision started to come back I could tell that the device was a taser.

"If you had listened and done as we said, we could have done this the easy way.  You brought this upon yourself"

As I lay in the cold snow I heard the crunching of snow coming towards me.  The tall man than proceeded to pick me up over his shoulder.  The taser had wiped me out and i couldn't do anything to get away.

As the man carried me away I could see the school in the background, getting smaller and smaller.  I was being carried away from my life and my family.  And I may never be coming back.

The short man turned towards me and said "we are almost there, it's not much farther.  Once we get there you are going to be airlifted out to our destination."

I was getting weaker and weaker and I could faintly make out the sound of a helicopter.  I was able to muster one last question before I would go out.  "Why are you -taking -me?"

The tall man answered my question "Because you have been chosen to represent the United States as the Female Tribute.  You will compete in a fight to the death along with 49 other tributes from a total of 25 countries.  Their will be one female and one male chosen from each of the selected countries.  Now, hold still."

The tall man laid me down on the seat of the helicopter.  I was finally getting some strength back just to get it taken away.  I felt a slight pinch in my arm as the shorter man injected a needle into it, and just like that I was out like a light
