Truth or Lie

Jessica ran home and locked the door, she thought about it and she couldn't tell Sophie it would crush her. She felt like she betrayed Sophie but yet she kinda wanted to kiss howl again but she knew that she would have to avoid howl or make sure she doesn't meet up with him at all
.....

Sophie- "hey Jessica how was work"

Jessica-"it was ok, you know just the usual drunk assholes"

Sophie-"ok, wanna walk around town with me tomorrow"

Jessica-"sure"

(Dammit she mentally slapped herself, what if howl is there and sees her with Sophie and decides to start something, Sophie would be so upset with her. Fuckkkk this was not going to end well)

Time skip to the next morning
.....

Sophie-"you ready Jessica"

Jessica- "y-yeah"

(Jessica was so nervous all she could think about was howl and how today would play out)

Sophie-"Come on"

(They walk through town and sat down to rest for a bit. Jessica's heels were pinching her feet)

(Jessica looked up after fixing her heel and saw him)
(Fuck she thought, there he was looking around and then him and Jessica locked eyes)

Jessica- "uh oh"

Sophie- "wha-"

(She looked up to see what Jessica was staring at and saw him, her ex coming this way)

Sophie- " No way I can't believe it, let's leave before he gets here"

(They get up and run away, just when they think they're good Jessica feels someone grab her should)

Jessica-" oh my fucking god"

(Jessica thinks to herself she has to do something quick so her first response was to swing, but before her hand could connect someone caught her hand)

Howl-"jeez Jessica trying slap me  are we "

(That's when Sophie loses it turns around and slaps him in the face)

Sophie-"you let go of my friend you fucking bastard"

(Howl stood there for a minute holding his cheek, and Jessica didn't think Sophie had it in her but once she looked up at him she felt awful)

(It was silent for a few moments before howl spoke)

Howl-"you are such a bitch, and why the fuck are you lying to Jessica and making it sound like I'm some fucking terrible person"

Sophie-" wait a damn minute and because you are and Jessica you talked to him, when"?

Jessica-"shit,ok last night but In retrospect it was weird and  I thought he would like vanish or some shit and like not be here today or something and I didn't want to make you upset"

(Jessica purposely left out the kiss she definitely wasn't going to say anything)

Howl-" Sophie this is your fault you left me don't make it sound like I left you"
