"Y/N?" Peggy asked.
"Mama" Y/N giggled.
"How do you know her name" Steve asked.
"You don't remember? When she was first born, you said you would name her Y/N... that's when I left" She mumbled.
"Yea... you never really told me why, or not the REAL reason" Steve shrugged.
"I couldn't handle having a child, at least I didn't think I would be able to take care of one, I thought I wasn't good enough, so I left. I regret doing that, but now that I'm here I'm ready to be a mom" Peggy sadly smiled.
"Well... I guess we can take you home now" Steve smiled. "Wanna hold her?"
"I was hoping you would ask that" She laughed.
"I know ever since you left you always wanted to hold Y/N, and you never did... she's not a baby anymore but she's still young, and in her ones" Steve chuckled.
"I don't care, I just miss my baby so much" Peggy scrunched her face up.
On the plane
"So while I was gone, what did you do?" Peggy asked as they sat down.
"Not much, I mean I'm an Avenger, I kinda live at the Stark Tower but I have my own house... where Y/N lives" Steve replied.
"Oh!" She nodded, arching her brows.
"What about you? You never came back" Steve mumbled.
"I know, I WAS thinking about it but- after a while... I felt like it would be weird if I came back after leaving you guys for years, and I am truly sorry about that" She sighed.
"Well... I can't act like it never happened, but I can forgive you" He mumbled.
"Thank you" She smiled.
"Mommy? Where have you been" Y/N asked.
"Uh- I... I bought my own house" Peggy stuttered.
"What?" Steve questioned.
"Well I'm not homeless" She scoffed.
"Why have you never came back" Y/N asked.
"Like I said, I felt like it would be weird... and part of me thought you didn't even care anymore" Peggy mumbled.
"We cared so much. I can introduce you to the Avengers if you want. Stark Tower, Tony Stark's building. I think you'd like him, he's a pretty profound man" Steve smiled.
"Yea, I would like to go there" She giggled.
Y/N fell asleep and her head was against Peggy's belly. Peggy smiled softly, and slowly closed her eyes.
At home
"Oh my god! I remember this" Peggy exclaimed when they walked into the house, picking up a portrait of her holding Y/N. "And thank you for taking me here"
"I mean, that was the whole point" Steve chuckled.
"No but... I could have just lured myself in here" Peggy smirked.
"What?" Steve questioned.
"You really thought that you found your girl" She laughed, peeling off a mask on her face. (Black widow vibes)
"Wha- Who are you?" Steve asked.
"Lashina" She smirked, throwing an electric band thingy at Steve, making him collapse on the floor. She ran away with Y/N.
"AHHH!" Y/N shrieked in the distance.
"Y/N" Steve groaned, trying to get up. "I'll get you" he whispered.
