"Sup twat" someone lightly punched my arm on the side. I turned and found my friend from fifth grade, Zach Malik. The Oh-so attractive Zach every girl wants to take home to meet their parents, every bitch is lining up to jump in bed with as he always describes himself. He is good looking alright, 5'9" with hazel brown eyes and brown hair and a well built body from playing basketball so much.
Zach's dad, Mr Aayan Malik, is a partner in my dad's law firm. Zach and I practically grew up together. He has a big sister, Amira, who is my twin brothers' age, she goes to UCLA with them too. Amira and Aiden- the sane twin brother- are dating, but our parents don't know about them (yet, they say).
"Oi! Asswipe, how ya doin'? Did you hear? We've got a transfer student in our class, a girl. May she be so guarded so she won't have to slip under your sheets" I pressed my hands together, faking prayer. We were standing in my locker while I stuffed my AP Maths books in my backpack. We walked down the corridors headed to our class. "The fuck you mean 'may she be guarded'. Even if she was, you know I have my ways even with prudes" he brushed his shoulders boasting like he just won an award. "Ha! Ha! Ha! How's about we bet on it?" I said as we entered class, I pulled out my small finger as he hooked his on mine.
Mr Sterling was seated on his desk as took our seats in the back, the other seats were all occupied now, making us the last to enter the room. "So nice of you to join us Miss Henry and Mr Malik, as always" he dragged the last part signaling that we are always the last ones to arrive - and forever late. "Okay, we have a new student who's just transferred here at Belmont High. Please stand up and introduce yourself a bit" Mr Sterling said as he was getting up from his chair.
She was sitting at the back. Ha! I've always seen in movies new students sitting in front, I like her already. She stood up, only then did I notice how incredibly tall she was. She looked to be a 5'10" with dark brown curly hair that reached her shoulders, I couldn't tell the color of her eyes yet but I'm guessing hazel. She was slim, probably two pounds shorter than me. "Hi. I'm Daya James from New York, recently moved here. And here I am" she sat down. Sweet and short, I thought.
The rest of the lesson included Sterling telling us what we're going to be doing for our upcoming assignment next week. He filled us in on what he did during Summer break - boasting bastard went on vacation with his girlfriend. Mushy motherfucker! Zach and I put on that bet onto the table. If he managed to get Daya under his sheets, I'd owe him $100. Because I was too lazy to think of something he had to do for me, I also opted for the $100 should he fail. It was a done deal.
