We can't be together

Dawkins: Dolly? What do you mean?

Dylan: Not exactly Dolly.

Dawkins: So?

Dylan: I will tell you but firstly you have to promise me that you won't tell anyone about this conversation, ok?

Dawkins: Sure, your secret will be safe with me brother.

Dylan was really afraid about telling anybody the truth, but he trusted Dawkins. Dawkins was a dog Dylan trusted more that other siblings except of Dolly. For some strange reason Dolly was a dog who Dylan could tell anything.

Dylan: Ok. The real problem are my feelings to Dolly- he said embarrassed.

Dawkins realized what were that feelings, but he didn't want to be right that time.

Dawkins: What feelings?- he asked despite he knew the answer.

Dylan took deep breath and said- I love her Dawkins. I love my sister. I love Dolly and I don't know what to do.

Dawkins: Forget about her.

Dylan was looking at Dawkins with confusion.

Dawkins: I know that it's easy to say but you just have to do it. Love to Dolly will give you only pain.

Dylan: Why?- he said angrily, Dawkins words annoyed him.

Dawkins: You know her. You will give her your heart and she will use you. She will hurt you like she is hurting us day by day.

Dylan: I can't believe you see her like that. I know her, but she is not like you said. Dolly is loving sister who would do everything for us. Maybe she isn't showing us her love, but family is the most important thing for her. Everytime she is hurting us, she is feeling terrible becouse she is not doing this purposely.

Dylan was disappointed with his brother attitude. Dawkins felt bad after hearing Dylan. He knew that Dylan was right. He was always treating Dolly like something near to enemy and that was his mistake.

Dawkins wanted to say something, but Dylan...

Dylan: But you have right in that I have to forget about this love. We are siblings and we can't be together. It would be bad for our family- he said really sadly. Being with Dolly was his biggest dream.

Dawkins didn't anything. He knew that it was really hard moment for Dylan.

Dylan: Could you prepare pups to sleep? I have to talk with Dolly.

Dawkins: Ok, but remember that whatever you will do, I will be with you.

Dylan: Thank you brother- he said and went to find Dolly.

While walking, Dylan saw that Dolly was still in treehouse.

Dolly was standing in the middle of the treehouse and holding Dylan's space helmet. She started to talk to herself.

Dolly: I don't know why, but I love you Dylan. You are dorky nerd, but my dorky nerd. I love you brother and I will tell you that one day.

Dylan heard Dolly from hiding. Her words made him feels worse but he decided to go to Dolly.

Dylan: Dolly.

Dolly: Och... you decided to come back?- she said happily.

Dylan: We have to talk.

Dolly: Ok- she wasn't as happy as in first moment. Dylan was serious, Dolly knew that it won't be nice conversation.

Dolly: About?- she asked afraid.

Dylan: About us. Dolly I know what do you feel to me.

Dolly: Really?! How?

Dylan: It was obvious, especially after that kiss.

Dolly: I wanted to tell you that soon. I really love you Dylan, I don't know why, but I want to be with you.

Dylan: But you can't.

Dolly: Why?

Dylan: Becouse we are siblings, we just can't be a couple. How would react our family, friends and whole world?!

Dolly came closer to Dylan to comfort him. She knew that he was afraid.

Dolly: They will understand or not. You are the most important for me and noone can change that. Let's just ignore everyone else.

Dylan made a step back from Dolly.

Dylan: I didn't want to say that but...- he said and thought "I will hate myself for that".

Dylan:... but I don't want to be with you becouse I can't stand any minute with you. You are only stupid, annoying me step-sister! You only know how to insult me ​​and make an idiot of me!- he was talking with angry tone. He was trying to be as convincing as he could. All his words were a lie, he wanted to make Dolly not love him anymore.

Dolly was just listening in shock. She knew that she wasn't the best sister in the world, but she had never wanted to make Dylan see her like that. She was feeling like the worst sister that you can imagine.

Dylan: All this time spent with you was terrible! I want to be as far from you as it's possible!

Dolly had tears in her eyes, she could barely speak.

Dolly: B..but our ki...kiss.

Dylan: I just had to help you! I'm helping you only when I need something from you! And that kiss, I didn't want my first kiss to be with dog like you!- every lie was harder and harder for Dylan. Hurting Dolly was breaking his heart into tousands pieces.

Dylan couldn't look at at Dolly anymore. Her beautiful eyes were full of tears, tears of pain coused by Dylan. Dylan was angry at himself, hurting Dolly was something that made him want to never be born.

Dylan turned back from Dolly to not see her.

Dylan: We can't be together becouse I hate you- he said and started to walk away.

Dolly was crying very hard, she was absolutely devastated. Her love said that he hate her, it was the worst thing she had ever heard.

Dolly: P...please do...don't go.

That was the only thing she could tell between tears. She wanted Dylan to come back, to hug her and to cheer her up like he was always doing. She wanted to fix all that things, for which Dylan hated her. She could do everything to made Dylan forgive her.

She was looking like Dylan was walking away from her. Dolly raised her paw to him. That was the only weak move she could do to try to stop him.

Dylan was hearing Dolly's cry. She couldn't cry quietly, her sadness was too big for her. She wasn't feeling that bad even some days before when everyone turned away from her.

The last sentence she said before she lost Dylan of her wiev was- Dylan, please!
