Receiving your letter.

I was in the middle of a dream. It was quite weird, I have had the same dream over and over again. A green flash just replaying over and over again. I was wondering if it was even a dream at all. I snapped out of my daze at the sound of a pecking noise outside my window. My owl, Rosie, was stood on my window ledge with a pasty coloured envelope hanging out of her beak.
'I never get mail?' I said to myself.
Then it hit me.. It can't be! I flung myself out of my bed and lunged at the window beckoning my owl to fly in. I took the letter out of her mouth and examined the front.

The Second bedroom.
6 Hallyort Road.
Queens crescent.
London.

I flipped the envelope on its back and my eyes lit up at the big H imprinted on the paper. I felt my stomach do frontflips and a grin painted across my face, ear to ear. I ran down the stairs ( pretty sure I jumped the last 7 ) and ran into the kitchen to were my Father was sat at the dining room table reading the daily prophet.
"DAD! DAD! LOOK WHAT CAME!" I shrieked, waving the letter in his face.
"Is that why I think it is?!" A smile forming on his face.
Suddenly he picked me up and swung me around, singing some sort of tune as he did so.
"My beautiful daughter finally going to the best school for witchcraft and wizardry in the world!" My father exclaimed.
"Well come on then let's open it!"
I carefully opened the envelope, trying my best not to rip anything. My hands trembling in excitement finally got to the letter.

Dear Y/n Flemming,
I am pleased to inform you that you have been accepted into Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all your necessary books and equipment.
Uniform:
First year students will require,
Three sets of plain work robes ( black ).
One plain pointed hat ( black ) for day wear.
One pair of protective gloves ( dragon hide or similar ).
One winter cloak ( black, with silver fastenings ).
Please note that all students should carry name tags.
Course books:
All students should have a copy of each of the following:
The standard book of spells ( Grade 1 ), Miranda Goshawk.
A History of magic, Bathilda Bagshot.
Magical Theory, Adalbert Waffling.
A beginners guide to transfiguration, Emeric Ewitch.
One thousand magical herbs and fungi, Phyllida Spore.
Magical drafts and potions, Arsenius Figger.
Fantastic beasts and where to find them, Newt Scamander.
The dark forces: a guide to self protection, Quentin Trimble.
Other equipment:
1 wand.
1 cauldron ( pewter, standard size 2 ).
1 glass or crystal phials.
1 telescope.
1 set brass scales.
Students may also bring an owl a cat or a toad.
Term begins on September 1st. We await your owl by no later than July 31st.
