"AGHASHEEEEEE"

Toss.

Ba-BOOM.

"HEY, HEY, HEYYY" Bokuto hollered, high- giving his boyfriend. Akaashi stumbled back from the sheer force of the high-five.

"That was great, Bokuto-san" He smiles slightly in congratulations.

Tsukkishima 'tsked', being unable to block the spike.

"Don't mind, don't mind," Karasuno's mom called out through cupped hands from the bench.
Karasuno nodded in determination.

A few sets later, Karasuno was tasked with diving drills.
The crows all collectively groaned, lining up.

"DID YOU SEE THAT SPIKE, AKAASHI?!" Bokuto waved his hands around enthusiastically as a the setter nodded, gulping down his water.

"IT WAS SO COOL, IT WAS SO FAST, IT FELT AWESOME!"

Akaashi nodded, smiling every now and then, pecking Bokuto's cheek now and then.

A whistle blew.
"ALL RIGHT, EVERYONE TAKE TEN!"

Every single player stampeded out of the gym and pushed each other out the door to get to the vending machine.

Except Akaashi.

He dribbled the ball down, staring across the empty gymnasium.
He pondered about what had happened a few hours ago. About what Oikawa had said.

"Bokuto won't leave you"
"He's a great person"
"-because there's everything to like"

He tossed the volleyball up, watching it leave his hands, and return.
He tossed it again, and again, and again.

He breathed in slowly, tossing.
'Ok,' He thinks, 'let's start from the top'

The situation couldn't get any worse than it already was, and that was a good thing. Unfortunately, it was the only good news there.

Toss.

He knew Kou was an endearing lover, a happy companion, and a trustworthy friend.
All in all, he was a great person. He wasn't anything like Kiro.

Toss.

That was what he thought when he was with Kiro.
When he thought that the guy was sweet, loving, and kind.

Toss.

Not true.

Toss.

Something told him to trust Kou,

Toss.

To tell him the truth,

Toss.

To-

"Keiji" A soft voice sighed, the sound distracting Akaashi momentarily, dropping the ball.
It landed with a thud.

He watched it bounce slowly, before rolling away.

A hand finds its way to his, grasping it tightly.

He didn't look up.

Oikawa sighed, pulling out his phone. "Here," He prods, opening his cousin's texts. "She sent us the key elements in the dance, do you want to go through one?"

Akaashi nods, looking up to glance at the phone.

"I think I'll have to work on the fouette" he mumbles softly. Oikawa smiles.

"They say that your fouettes are great," He assures, patting his shoulder, "But maybe do one now so that I can see if you're as good as they say"

"Can you do it with just socks?"
