[THIRD POV]

"That's... your mother?" Akaashi asked her carefully.

(Y/N) nods, looking at the dear picture of her mother.

"My mom passed away when I was in middle school; she had died due to an illness. Because my dad was... busy, he wasn't able to take care of her," she explained, "When she passed, my dad came home for once. He arranged the funeral, and the next day, he left like nothing happened."

Something about her story... clicked with something.

"I'm sorry about that (Y/N)," Kuroo says, "We didn't know about that."

"I-It's fine- really!" (Y/N) tells them, "No one really knew about my mom, so you guys are the first to know actually..."

"May we pay our respects to her too then?"

The question made (Y/N)'s heart stop; not even her own father paid his respects to (Y/N)'s mom, he only arranged the funeral, showed up, and left.

She nods, moving out of the way for the men to pray to her.

All five of them bow their heads a bit down, clapping their hands together, and closed their eyes towards the picture; after about a minute, they let go.

When they turned back around, they saw (Y/N) crying, but this time it was different. She was softly smiling and crying while her eyes were closed.

"Thank you guys," she said softly, "I-It means a lot to me that you guys did that... despite being my kidnappers... it means a lot."

She wipes her tears completely and flashed them a genuine smile, one that made their heart beat ten times faster. The way her lips tugged that perfect smile made them want to kiss her so badly.

"If it means a lot to you (Y/N), then it will mean a lot to us as well," Kenma says, "Your happiness is our happiness too, and we would want nothing more than to see you smiling like this."

"What Kenma said," Kuroo winked at her, "I'm glad we got to see an image of your mom anyway; she looks just like you."

"That's what I said in my prayer," Bokuto said, "Thank you (Y/N)'s mom for making such a beautiful daughter!"

They all laughed, even (Y/N), who giggled really cutely.

"T-Thank you," she said, folding her fingers together as a blush crept on her cheeks, "I-I think... if we were on good terms... my mom would've liked you all."
