An Eye of Jewel

CHAPTER 3

I arrived to my human form just in time before work. I sat in my office and just watched the window. "Sir?" I jumped from my seat and looked at a nervous guy with glasses, "I didn't mean to bother sir, but you have an assistant here, can he enter?" I sat back on my seat and gave him a sign to let him enter. It was the guy from last night. He sat down in front of my desk and we just stared at each other. He soon broke the silence, "Umm... hi, I'm America." I gave a small smile, "Hi, America. What makes you want to be my assistant?" He moved his chair close to my desk, "Well... I did some research and you were the guy on the bus and maybe to help you with the papers when you decide to go home early." I smirked at him.

He relaxed his back on his chair, "Glad to know that you did your homework but cut to the chase. I'm Russia and you will be given these challenges to accomplish." I was dumbfounded. Did he know about me picking up that small piece of a jewel?! "How did yo-" "No time to explain. Your first challenge will begin once you are going home, don't bring home the first pet that you encounter." I became silent and he shook my hand, "Welcome to the job!" I got up and sat on the desk for me and waited for any papers that are going to be delivered to him. He soon left the office early and I finished the last contracts for him and went out of my office and into the bus stop.

"You told him about the challenges, dear Russia?!"

I wore my ripped jacket and answered, "Yea and when is Bel going to kill him?" Mongolia laughed and answered, "Bel is already there." The screen showed Bel waiting for him to arrive and turning into many sorts of animals. He soon looked back and saw America walking towards him. He soon turns into a small kitten and laid down to the where he was walking. America picked the kitten up and he looked worried at the kitten. My right eye started to illuminate yellow light and I covered it and his pocket also glowed. They stared at me and the screen and he dropped the kitten which almost turned into a monster on his hand. "Crap, I forgot it can do that."

The jewel on my pocket started to glow and the kitten turned to some sort of monster and I ran away. The creature was chasing behind me. The only thing that I have that might protect me is that jewel and I threw the jewel at the creature and it cried in pain until I saw it startling to disappear. Once the creature disappeared the jewel stopped glowing and I picked it up and walked home, shocked about what just happened.

"What is the meaning of this?!"

Ukraine arrived and rubbed his head. They started to calm down and I laughed.

"What is funny?!"

I answered, " Haven't you noticed father, the jewel will glow if any monster is nearby it."

" Very well then, son"
