"Mom! Can I have some dinner?" Gideon grumbled. Last night she got caught sneaking out late at night and was grounded.

"No! Not until you apologize for sneaking out last night!" Her mother scolded, washing the dishes.

It was past dinnertime and Gideon felt her stomach growl for the tenth time in a row. She patted it and rolled her eyes.

Maybe it's time to apologize?  She thought.

"I'm sorry for sneaking out last night. You wouldn't let me hang out with my friends so I had no choice." She apologized, eyes looking at the floor.

"I didn't let you out because you didn't ask properly. If you'd been a little nicer, I would've let you go out."

"Well I'm sorry for not asking nicely. Can I have some dinner please?"

"Yes okay, just grab a bowl and I'll get you some soup."

Gideon smiled and walked to the kitchen. She reached for a bowl from the cupboard and handed it to her mom. Her mom scooped a large spoonful of the soup and left it on the table.

"You know Gideon, you're lucky I didn't tell your dad or he would've took all your things away." Her mother sat down at the table, watching her daughter drink the soup greedily.

"Are you still going to tell dad though?"

"No, just as long you don't do it again missy."

"Okay." Gideon finished up her soup and gave the now empty bowl to her mother. "Mom, can I go out with my friends tonight?" She asked politely, knowing if she didn't, her mom would've not let her out again.

"Yes fine, as long as you come back before 12." Her mother gave Gideon a cheery smile before bringing the bowl to the sink to wash.

"Yes! Thank you mom!" Gideon grabbed her jacket and ran to her bike in the garage excitedly.

She unlocked her bike and started pedalling. Gideon enjoyed the beautiful night sky as she rode to the nearest underground station.

--

Gideon walked down into the underground station and saw a group of kids fighting each other with knives. It looked like a bloody massacre.

"Why is there no police?" Gideon said out loud, as she watched the fight with shocked eyes.

"Because it's an abandoned underground station." A voice responded. Gideon whipped around and saw a man standing behind her, chewing gum.

"That's why nobody's around." Gideon says, "and who are you?"

"I'm the owner of this underground station. Well I call it the 'Dogdump'. I'm Keith. Nice to meet you milady." He held out his hand in an orderly manner, expecting Gideon to shake it.

"I'm Gideon." She shook his hand.

"What's bring you down here milady?"

"Well uh, I decided to just you know explore this place."

"Do your parents know?"

"No, I lied to them saying that I was meeting up with my friend."

"Ah, I see."

"So when did you find this place?"

Keith walked towards Gideon and put an arm around her waist. She felt very uncomfortable and tried to shift away.

"About a month ago. I thought it would be interesting to make it a place where gangs like to hang out. Turns out they don't hang out and just have a complete bloodbath instead." Keith leans towards Gideon.

Gideon ignores it. "That's how gangs are I guess."

"How about you and I go somewhere else to talk huh? It's getting very noisy in here." Keith smirks.

"Uh no, can we just stay here? I'd like to watch them fight." Gideon pulls away uncomfortably.

"Come on sweetheart, it's not going to be that bad. It's just too noisy."

"No."

Keith grabbed Gideon's hand and pulled her with him. Gideon tried to pull her hand away from his grip but he was too strong.

"Can you just stop?" Gideon says. Keith stops and turns around, his eyes narrowed.

"So you want to play it this way?" He pulls out a knife. Gideon eyed the knife carefully.

"What are you doing?" Gideon asks, stepping backwards slowly.

Keith grins and lunges at her. He grabs her shoulders and Gideon screams. He put the knife to her neck, threatening to slit her throat if she tried to run. Gideon thought fast. She used to do Krav Maga and boxing so she tried to use those two martial arts to defend herself. Gideon kicked the man in the groin and swept her hand across to grab the knife. Keith fell to the floor, groaning. She tried to walk past him but Keith took hold of her ankle and pulled her. She fell and dropped the knife. He turned her over and scowled as he tugged her long hair harshly. Gideon scrunched up her face in pain and punched him right in the nose.

"Ah! You broke my nose!" He yelled, slapping her hard on the cheek. Gideon touched her cheek and reached for the knife right next to her. Keith wasn't paying attention until he saw her taking the knife.

"Give me the knife you little brat." He lifted Gideon up by the neck, strangling her.

"St-op! Le-t me g-go." She spluttered, wriggling around, trying to escape. Keith laughed evilly until Gideon accidentally plunged the knife right into his abdomen.

She gasped for air as he dropped her onto the ground, and lay onto the floor himself.

"Oh my gosh! I didn't mean to stab you. You were choking me. I'm so sorry." Gideon started crying because she knew she had committed a crime.

Every gang stopped fighting and came to see what happened. They were murmurs and whispers. A lady kneeled down beside Gideon and said,

"Look, we're going to have to take you to the police. You have stabbed our leader."

No! This cannot be happening. I need to run. I need to run now.

She pushed past everyone and ran upstairs. But when she got out, police cars and policemen surrounded her.

Gideon suddenly felt light-headed and blacked out.
