There is a vast distinction between abnormal and paranormal, the former being deviation from the normal but can always be explained whereas the latter is just plain bizarre and outlandish. The general idea of paranormal is vague and is still a subject of scepticism among the masses but for Renato it was living nightmare. The events he has been experiencing can never be classified as normal. He was terrified of everything and he desperately wanted to leave this place.

From morning, Renato has been experiencing severe tolls of high fever and even analgesics couldn't even keep his head without aching. Juliana had called Dr. Eastman this morning and the doctor suggested they should wait for another day before leaving the resort.

Whenever Renato closed his eyes, the only thing he saw was lean hairy legs, red stripes, and gigantic eyes. In spite of all the sounds surrounding him, one particular sound was common, the same purring sound... it was the most devilish sound he has ever heard.

Juliana couldn't stand seeing Renato like this. She sat beside him and gently stroked his hair; she felt the burning heat from his head. She said in a very concerning voice, "We leave this place, first thing tomorrow."

Renato didn't say a word, his eyes fixated on the ceiling...

Soon the evening passed and night set in. Renato's fear grew darker but for some reason the purring noise has stopped by now. Juliana laid beside him, embracing him, the heat of his body not bothering her at all...

It was soon enough, Renato fell asleep...

Tchhhhhhhh... Tchhhhhh...

THE PUR.

Renato's sleep was obliterated. He checked his cell phone, it was 2 A.M. The sound has returned...! But no... the sound was not coming from the living room today... It was from his own bedroom this time...!

Renato tried to shut his eyes... but he couldn't... Juliana was on the other side of the bed now... He has lost his ability to speak...

Tchhhhh.... Tchhhhhhh...

Again!

Renato tried to track the sound and to his horror, it was coming from Juliana's side... Renato somehow managed to embrace Juliana in his arms.

For a second, he found relief, he would never let any harm come to her.

BUT WHAT WAS THAT...!?

Renato felt something crawling over Juliana's abdomen. He jumped away from her. Juliana had awakened now...

Renato looked into Juliana's eyes which were as dark as the night and said, "what is that on your belly?"

Juliana laughed. No this was not any normal laughter. That laughter was maniacal, and sick.

Renato felt nauseous, he could now see the big spider on Juliana's body. It was walking all around her and was making that obnoxious sound.

"WHY ARE YOU LAUGHING?", shouted Renato.

"Why would I be laughing?", replied Juliana, still smiling that ungodly smile.

The moon light had entered the room from the open window. A black crow came and sat on the window bar, sensing a feast. That crow flapped its wings and gave the most malevolent and barbaric cry that mankind has ever heard.

Juliana was still smiling that ghoulish smile.

Renato was one step behind from losing his senses... He gathered all his strength and he stood up... He tried to shake Juliana off of her frightful illusion but her laughter grew louder.

Renato was not prepared for what was about to happen next.

WHAT IN GOD'S NAME IS HAPPENING?!

He could see, in front of his eyes, shrinking of Juliana's arms and legs, her eyes becoming larger and dark red stripes over her body...

THIS WAS NOT HIS JULIANA...!

Renato couldn't say a word. He just stood there... seeing the love of his life transforming into a deadly disgusting spider.

Were his eyes betraying him? No. This was all too real.

He rushed to the living room, and that ungodly being which Juliana has turned into followed him... It was... trying to grab Renato... Renato understood he was going to be the sacrificial lamb of the spider ceremony if he couldn't save himself.

The events that followed happened so fast that he couldn't keep track.

Renato grabbed a knife... and started to stab that creature. He continuously stabbed until his arms gave out and then he stabbed again. The creature was crying in agony.

ONE STAB...! TWO STABS...! THREE STABS...!

And it continued and soon after Renato blacked out.

When he regained his consciousness... the sun had risen... He was laying on the living room floor, drenched in dry blood. Renato raised his head and vomited as soon as he saw what was lying on the floor....

It was Juliana, her body completely massacred and her head almost decapitated... Her abdomen was most badly cut...

His baby! He killed the love of his life and his unborn child.

Renato just whispered under his breath, "what have I done?"
