As I wake up, take a long, relaxing shower, and put my clothes on, I suddenly remember that today is Saturday. How could I forget?! Today was the first time in a long time that I was going out with all my friends.  We had decided that first we were all going to meet at Starbucks, where we will have breakfast.  After that, Sabrina, Lindsey, Caroline, and I will all go to Magic Mountain! Initially, none of them wanted to go, but I convinced all of them that it would be a good idea. I just thought it would be a good way to stay in touch.  We hadn’t seen each other for a long time now, about 8 months. After high school, we had all separated, each of us going to a different college.  Last week, I called them and we planned this day, and I couldn’t wait. I would finally see my friends!

Realizing that I was going to be late, I ran downstairs to the kitchen, grabbed an apple as a quick snack, hopped in my car, and drove to Starbucks.  I was so anxious to see my friends.  I have so much to tell them! I hope they are as excited to see me as I am to see them.  Luckily, Starbucks was only a few minutes away from my house.

I parked my car in the parking lot and ran inside.  None of my friends had arrived yet, so kept myself busy by ordering a small cookie and reading my book.  About 20 minutes later, all my friends arrived together.  As soon as they spotted me, they rushed to my table.

“OH MY GOD. GUUUUURL! KRISTEN I HAVEN’T SEEN YOU IN A BILLION YEARS! GIRL TELL ME HOW YOU’VE BEEN!” said Caroline. Lindsey and Sabrina followed behind her.  They all bought coffee and muffins and we all sat down.

“So, tell us! What have you been doing in the past 8 months?” asked Sabrina.

“Oh, nothing really. Just school and stuff,” I told them.

“Really?! You’re the most exciting person I know! Tell us, really,” said Lindsey.

“Fine. Well, I met a guy. His name is Jack. So far we’ve been dating for a few months and I really like him.” I said, blushing. After that, they all insisted on me telling them about my AMAZING boyfriend who I LOVE SO MUCH. Soon later, we headed off on our trip.

It took about 45 minutes to get there, as it was pretty far away and there was some traffic.  When we got there, I convinced my terrified-of-rollercoaster friends to go on all the scariest rides. I was the daredevil and they were all wimps, but somehow I managed to make them go with me.

The last ride we went on was supposedly the tallest, fastest, scariest ride in the park.  As soon as I saw it, I rushed to be the first in line.  My friends were way too terrified to go on this one, and I allowed them to skip it.  They wouldn’t be able to handle the extremeness anyways. So I went on the ride and realized it wasn’t really that scary after all! I was putting my hands in the air and screaming of joy and fear. Suddenly, I felt as if I was flying I the air, and I checked and saw that the cart had come off its tracks and we were suspended in the air. Suddenly, I crashed to the ground, and started losing consciousness….

“Hello? Where am I?” I called. My friends heard me and rushed towards me. I realized I was at Sabrina’s house.

“OH MY GOODNESS KRISTEN ARE YOU OKAY?!?!?!?!?!” said Sabrina.

“Uh, yeah. I’m fine, I guess. What happened?” I asked.

“The ride broke and you fell and hit your head. Hard,” said Caroline.

“A ride? We were at an amusement park? Why? I would much rather be at the library. Amusement parks are way too exciting. I like calm and boring-ish things. Like Twilight. That’s my favorite book in the whole world. Shouldn’t you know that? You ARE my best friends, right? Or at least I think you are,” as I said this, my friends shared confused looks.

“What are you talking about? You love Magic Mountain. And didn’t you tell me before that you’re favorite book is Harry Potter?” asked Lindsey.

“Ew. No way. Harry Potter? That stupid exciting crap. I like dull things. And you should know, I. NEVER. SMILE.” I said, obviously bored and annoyed and expressionless.
