I walked home in the freezing cold humming along with the music that blasted in my ears the sun was just about to set and the sky looked beautiful it was a light pink with some purple in it, I turned up the pathway to my 'lovely' home and quietly made my way inside running upstairs knowing my drunk dad was home.
I placed a chair under my doorknob since I don't have a lock on my door and fell back on my bed, I opened my book bag and dumped all of the drawings I drew today in class and placed them in a folder which sat on my desk along with all of my art supplies. the only drawing I kept out was a drawing of a eye I did last night I planned to tape it on my wall along with what I thought were my best drawings. before I did I pulled out my laptop and took a picture of it I placed the drawing on my bed and logged onto 'teenspot' a really creepy site with a lot of creepy people, I looked and saw I had a message, probably this weirdo named Paul who keeps messaging me but to my surprise it was someone named Nick.
I smiled and typed back "well hi Nick! As you know my name is Alex and I like to draw and listen to music, you seem really cool."
I sent it and then there was a knock on my door "who is it?" I asked "Julie." I jumped off my bed and removed the chair from under the door swinging the door open to revel my cousins face I hugged her tightly "sleepover at my place?" She questioned "yes! I'm scared to be here alone with him." I said talking about my dad "he is passed out on the floor it's alright." she said I rolled my eyes at my pathetic dad, I get weekends with my mom but she is so into her work all I do is sit around in her the house, but at least I don't have to question my safety there.
I packed my book bag with the things I need, my laptop, and my drawing supplies as Julie wandered around my room "seriously you have to do something about your drawings! They are so good!" I scoffed "not really and it's mostly just a hobby." I replied as I swung my book bag on my shoulder "ready?" I asked her "yeah." she said and we left.
