Indra first gained his memories of another life at the age of six after a pretty nasty fall off a ledge, trying to learn to jump form building to building. He was honestly lucky that he hadn't broken anything and was only out of it for a few minutes - it was like watching a broken record, his parents (they weren't the best -loving- but still), his friends (okay so maybe he preferred books and movies to people but-), and how could he forget his death (brain dead gone just like that, turned out he had a tumour and he never even noticed).
But the thing that stood out the most?
A movie.
A movie called Descendants. He had be reborn into a fucking Disney movie about villains who had been defeated then captured left, right and centre then finally bound to an island named the Isle of the lost. With the barrier up around the island no one was able to use their magic except a certain few individuals that included his father - the Cheshire Cat. From his father he gained cat-like senses with agility and sense of balance being he most notable as well as his famous abilities of invisibility and intangibility, his father's luck and prodigious ability with illusions and healing.
But that wasn't all Indra learnt no, out in the alleyways Indra learnt the use of blackmail, extortion and pickpocketing. How to get ones way with sweet talking and manipulating emotions. How easy it was to get information from the girls in ally's with a few well placed words and steal knives and money from passing a few thugs in the streets - this was the Isle after all, you gained nothing from being nice. Maybe once he would have cared about what he was doing but now? He did what he needed to survive.
Using the information Indra gained from his memories Indra began incorporating dance moves into his fighting style, making him look more graceful when he was moving. He used all the resources gained from another set of memories to gain trust of others. With this trust he took in the children of the Villains minions - the ones who made up majority of the children hidden in ally's. Children like Sir Hiss's child Hidden (who honestly? Was one of his most trusted) a ten year old boy with scales all over his boy and hypnotic green eyes - who left home due to there being not enough room and to many mouths to feed, Diego De Vil and his family henchmen Harold and Jason Badun we're surprising when they joined his bubbling network, but welcomed all the same when they had a solid way to provide food - they were related to Cruella no one was going to steal from him. And children of some more well known villains as well, the category included Ginny Gothel as she was a surprising resource when it came to plants and their uses at the age of six.
And by the age of Seven?
Indra was quietly becoming known as someone not to mess with.
By the age of eight?
Indra became known as the person to go to if you needed information.
By the age of nine?
Indra was known as someone to go to if you wanted some to disappear - with in reason of course.
By the age of ten?
Indra showed the Isle what happens when you got on his bad side.
By the age of eleven?
Indra's small territory became known as neutral ground in the turf war between the VK's and Pirates.
By the age of twelve?
Indra had basically a small army that he called his family.
By the age of thirteen?
Indra was climbing to the top in the shadows as far as one could as a villain kid.
By the age of fourteen?
The VK's had left for Auradon to steal the Fairy Godmother's wand.
Now? He just had to sit back an watch what happens next.
Because
'In a mad world, only the mad are same.'
