His suffering had ended.

All the pain he was feeling until then had suddenly disappeared.

He had lost against his opponent.

Was he too disturbed by his enemy's arrival, who dared bring his comrade's head like a trophy?

Was he too disadvantaged by the fact he had his most powerful ability borrowed by his chief a the moment?

Or did he ever had a chance to outlive this fight at all?

It didn't matter anymore. He had painfully lost, and was now dead.

He was the fourth to die since the Troupe's time at York Shin. Why was destiny breaking the Spider's leg this rate?

Was it karmic retribution? Did they deserved it?

He got up to see what death was like...

And saw strictly nothing. Not the faintest light.

So death looked like nothing at all? Ironic.

He walked around a little, trying to find entertainment, but he quickly understood there really wasn't anything interesting here.

He lied down, questioning whatever he should do.

Since he was dead, why not stay here and wait! Nothing was there to stop him, and there was nothing else to do.

Nothing left but curiosity. He was dead, that was a fact. But where was he now? In hell? Or heaven? Maybe the void? Or even elsewhere?

Was he even sure that he was alone in here?

This question singlehandedly got him back on his legs. He started running in straight line right in the direction he was facing, looking for answers.

And he ended up finding something.
