The response to the diner was great and she was loving it, but today was a much more personal day as she had an AA meeting where she was set to finally talk about her past to the whole group,
"How are you my love?" Mason asked knowing that she was really scared to have to talk about her and the dark past she had for a bit,
"I'm really scared to have to talk, like I know these people understand what I went through but don't get me wrong it scares me having to talk about it," the only person she had really spoken to about it was Diana so it made her think that someone else was set to judge her,
"Oh baby," the footballer sighed as he pulled her in for a hug and now realised why some parents want to wrap their children in bubble wrap and just protect them from the outside world,
"We can just stay in bed all day if you want?" Mason had gone to Diana without Paisley knowing the one time as he wanted to learn how he was meant to help her with her journey to being sober,
"No if I don't go then I won't go ever," the blonde sigh as she looked up to him,
"But how about after training tomorrow you come over and then we can do that," she added not wanting to pass up the opportunity of a good time with her boyfriend,
"You have yourself a deal pretty lady," he would often call her this as a joke after there was once a dude who referred to Paisley as that on a night out which left Mason feeling pretty pissed off originally,
"Oh shush you," Paisley responded as she stuck her tongue out at him.
The Maddison girl arrived at the AA meeting to see Kyle which helped calm her nerves down quite a bit,
"Hey Paisley!" He smiled as he walked over to the younger girl,
"Kyle!" The two were always enthusiastic about seeing each other even if the last time they saw each other was literally a week ago when she opened the diner,
"So how's little miss business women doing?" The older boy had started using that as her new nickname especially since he could see that it would push her buttons,
"I've been doing well, how is my accountant?" The scouser struggled to find a job after he came out from rehab despite his good degrees in finance, so when Paisley found out that she needed an accountant it meant that he was the first person that she called,
"Well I've been busy looking at the diners profits and it's doing well so I'm happy," Kyle smiled as the two continued to gossip until the meeting was set to start,
"You want to go get a milkshake after this, I'm starving," the blonde whispered as her stomach rumbled,
"Paisley's Pies?" He proposed as the girl rolled her eyes,
"I own a restaurant where I've never eaten at, where else?" She joked as the older people around them turned and shot the duo a nasty look,
"I think we should shush," Kyle whispered as she nodded and turned to see that Diana was guiding the meeting again.
It was now time for Paisley to talk even though she still didn't have a clue what she wanted to say,
"So as you all know, I'm Paisley," there was a string of 'hi Paisley' throughout the whole room,
"I started drinking when I was about seventeen after my parent's divorce and my brother leaving to go play football for Norwich, when I turned eighteen everything just went downhill. I stopped being myself and it was kinda just this grey patch. The thing that really showed me that I needed to change, was when my boyfriend who I was so head over heels for said that 'how could I possibly even try to love someone else if I couldn't even love and take care of myself,' him saying that was like a real wake up call, and I have him to thank for me getting better," the blonde explained to the group not even realising that she was now emotional.
The duo had left the meeting and headed straight to Paisley's Pies for some food and her now-signature milkshakes,
"How is this place busy even in the middle of the day?" She asked herself seeing that the diner was still packed even in the middle of the week,
"Because this place is fucking amazing," Kyle spoke in a duh tone as he took a sip of his chocolate milkshake and let out a moan,
"I did not take you as a strawberry kind of girl," he added pointing to the pink milkshake that she was loving.
