Chapter 1:

Her POV
I woke up to the orphanage owner Melissa comes in and starts jumping on my bed.
"Wake up DJ! wake up!" She giggled.
"What?" I groaned.
"You're getting adopted! You're getting adopted!" she shouted and I jumped up.
"No way! who would adopt a 16 year old girl?" I asked.
" A family who lives in Miami, Florida. they came all this way to adopt a girl and they want to adopt you!" she squealed.
"But I'm me! I have problems! I don't get how they are gonna pay for everything I need!" I said.
"They are supposedly very very rich and said they've looked at your medical records and decided that you've been through enough and you deserve a chance to live a life you've always wanted! DJ they want you!" she said loudly.
"And you deserve it, after everything you've been through you deserve a happy ending." she said quietly.
I nodded and grabbed my bags that have always been packed.
"They are down stairs waiting. since you fell asleep in your clothes that you wore when you snuck out yesterday just wear the clothes now and go!" She said raising an eyebrow and I laughed slightly.
I grabbed some of my bags and she grabbed some and we headed down the stairs to where a petite lady with straight blond and light blue crystal eyes and tan skin along with a man with brown/blond short hair and bight green eyes.
"Hello, you must be DJ. we learned a lot about you with Melissa here. is it okay if we adopt you?" the lady asked.
I nodded smiling.
"Oh wait! I need my glasses!" I said and ran upstairs and into the bathroom and grabbed my contacts case and my glasses case.
I put on my glasses and walked down the stairs and into the living area where they were.
"Well I'm ready." I said.
"Ok, I'm Laura, you can call me that. or Laur, Lori, or even mom. it doesn't matter to me as long as you are happy with it." she said.
"And I'm Alex. you can call me that, or Al, or even dad. and same with Laura you can call me any of those as long as your happy." he said.
" Mom and dad works. but for now I'll just call you Laura and Alex. after a while I'll call you that." I said," we can go if you need to go."
"Sure, thank you so much Melissa for you help." Laura said and hugged her and then smiled at me.
I hugged Melissa and then nodded.
Alex nodded at Melissa and she did it back.
"I'll text you when I get to the house Melissa. don't miss me to much." I said smirking.
The other kids came out and saw me leaving.
"Bye kids. I wish you all the best of luck to be adopted." I said and we walked out and 6 sets of couples walked in and I smiled.
They led me to a taxi that was huge and the person took my bags and I got in the backseat as Alex got in the front with Laura in back with me.
It took us to the airport and we got onto a private jet.
"You guys own a private jet?!" I said looking out the window as we took off.
"We have a lot to tell you. first I'm a lawyer, a famous one actually. I'm with over 5 different celebrities and I'm my brothers' lawyer. Alex is a famous doctor who's preformed surgeries that he was the first one to do, and succeeded. we have 4 children. The oldest is 18, his name is Oliver. the second oldest is 16 your age, his name is Cade. then there's Alyssa, she's 14. then there's our 4th kid Andrew but he likes being called Drew. he's Alyssa's twin. they are both 14." she explained.
I took it all in then nodded.
"Perfect, I haven't had siblings since I was 8." I said looking down.
"I'm so sorry, really I am." Alex said.
"It was when I was 8 and we were in a car going to visit my grandmother. the we heard the news that she passed away a few hours earlier. we went to turn around when we were hit dead on. my older brother and I were the only ones who survived. I had a little sister and a little brother. they died on impact. my older brother Luke carried me out because I was hit in the head. out parents died a few minutes after we were hit. Luke was adopted a year ago." I explained.
They frowned and Laura hugged me.
"You can trust us. we will be there for you for the rest of your life if you want us to." Alex said rubbing my back.
The plane landed a few minutes later. it was a short plane ride from New York City to Miami Florida so we got off and grabbed my bags and headed to the car..... No limo.
We got in and they drove off to their supposedly gigantic mansion.
When we got there I gasped.
It was 6 floors high, has a huge front yard with a long driveway leading up to it, then it has acres of land and a garden on the right side of the house.
In the back there is a swing set with 6 swings a tree fort and a huge slide going to the ground, an in-ground huge pool that was like a town pool, a huge trampoline, a basketball court, and just plane fields with soccer goals set up on one section of it and football goals on another section.
I smiled and got out and grabbed all of my bags which was only ten.
Laura ran into the house and brought out 4 kids.
"Oliver, Cade, Alyssa, Andrew this is DJ she's your new sister." Alex says and Alyssa squeals and runs over and hugs me.
"Finally a girl!!" she said and hugs me tighter as I laughed.
"Hey! I'm a perfect brother!" I assume Drew said.
" Yea well living with 3 boys gets annoying after a while," she said to him," hi! I'm Alyssa!"
I laughed," I know. I'm DJ." I said.
"I'm Andrew but don't call me that call me Drew." he said shaking my hand.
I laughed," yes my actual name is Dana Jules but don't call me that call me DJ." I said.
"I'm Cade! So you're 16 right?" he asked shaking my hand.
I nodded," yep I turned it a few days ago actually." I said.
"Well happy late birthday, did you have a party?" he asked.
I choked then laughed," no! I haven't had one since I was 8! we don't have birthday parties in the orphanage cause we can't afford it." I said.
" Well we have to throw you one cause we have one for every birthday! I'm Oliver by the way." says the oldest as he puts an arm around me.
"You're lucky I already know your names because it would be very awkward not knowing the kid who's hugging you's name." I said causing them to laugh.
"Lets get you settled in. and by the way I love your hair DJ!" Alyssa said and pulled me inside as the 3 boys took two bags each from me so I was left with 4 then she took 2 and I was carrying 2.
She pulled me up the stairs and to the 4th floor.
"This is our floor. all 4 of us lived on this floor and now make that 5. there's 7 rooms so don't worry about room. me and you get one side of the floor to ourselves while they get the other side. Our side is purple as there's is blue." She says pulling me onto the huge floor.
There was doors aligning the walls and in the center is a huge long couch with a tv on the opposite wall and a mini fridge.
I gawked at it until she pulled me into a purple walled room.
My favorite color.
"We heard purple was your favorite color so me and the boys had painted your room last week. You have a huge king sized bed with a zebra comforter, an en suite with a shower disconnected from the tub. You have a huge walk-in closet with brand new clothes on the very end just I case you want them. you have a balcony that shows you the whole backyard, and there's a rose garden fence leading up to it. you have a huge space that has 2 couches and a bunch of bean bags that are places apart and faced towards the 72inch plasma flat screen TV.
Then you have a closet full of pillows, towels, and blankets. Another closet full of games and toys that we thought you might like. then this is my favorite part," Alyssa said pulled me into another room," the makeup room. it's full of any kind of makeup. This room is also connected to my room so we can share it. I love this room. there's 2 walls that are mirrors so you can put makeup on, then the regular purple wall, then the glass wall that shows the backyard as well. and that's your room." she said leading me back into my room where the boys were placing my bags down on my dresser.
"Shoo boys! out! me and DJ are unpacking her things!" Alyssa shooed them out then shut and locked my door.
We started with my clothes but I threw out half my clothes because they're either to small or I just didn't like them. then we unpacked my shoes which were just a pair of black heels, a pair of red heels, 3 pairs of black combat boots, black ankle boots, black converse, red converse, black high tops, black basketball sneakers, purple running shoes, and black flats.
Then we unpacked my electronics onto the desk that has like 30 outlets on it, which consists of my laptop, my iPad air, my iPhone, my iPod, my iHome, my kindle ad that's it.
Yea my parents' funds were enough to get me all of that.
We then unpacked all my hair supplies, my makeup, and my jewelry.
Then finally my essentials and toiletries and we were done.
"Get your bathing suit on. today's Sunday and school's tomorrow so lets hit the pool to tan and swim." she said and left me to get changed.
I changed into my plain white bikini with a gold buckle on the top.
I grabbed my beach towel, my sunglasses, my phone, and my sunscreen and put my hair in a high tight bun.
I walked downstairs after putting on shorts and a coverup tank top.
I saw her waiting at the door and we walked out and went to the back and laid out on the chairs.
