disclaimer: this fanfiction will have elements of DDLB (daddy dom/little boy) and will be extremely LGBTQ+ friendly open (half of the characters are in the LGBT community :D) so if you're uncomfortable with that i suggest you click out.

Logan Mitchell was a 17 year old originally hailing from Carrizo Springs, Texas. The large yet underrated and unknown city of Carrizo Springs was home to Logan, understandably, because he was born and raised there. The brunette was introverted, but somehow if you saw him around people -- maybe even one, or two, -- that was rare. It was atypical for Logan to make friends, since he was a fairly socially awkward person, but deep down the gracelessness and diffidence was just someone who could rant about his favorite things -- math, hockey, school related stuff, and other things that interests him, -- and someone who was genuinely caring of others.

His only friends, which were just two people, cut him off after the summer going into senior year. Logan didn't mind, though. He was used to being alone. He didn't mind being a bit independent for the rest of the school year. Although going into the last year of high school with just a person would have made him less uneasy.

But to alleviate the quietness and boredom he experienced during the summer without friends or contact, he spent some of the time at his grandfather's ranch. His horses that Logan always enjoyed to see ever since he was four gave him company, and he enjoyed bathing the farm animals and riding the horses in his free time. Logan thought nothing could have gone wrong for his senior year.

Until the fourth week of school when his mother, Joanna, received a job opportunity in the city of Shakopee, Minnesota. Logan pondered on how different it would be traveling to a new state that wasn't Texas. Texas reminded him of summer and dry weather, and somewhere that wasn't there reminded him of cold and dullness. Texas held everything Logan enjoyed, and what was there in Minnesota?

Plus, he would have to go through the trials and tribulations of being the "new kid." It wouldn't make situations better knowing he was easily anxious and could go into a panic attack even if someone would just talk to him. He really didn't want to be a target.

Joanna however used her mighty power of persuasiveness to lure Logan into moving. That's also how she was so successful in business and marketing.

And while they were loading the last of their things in the truck, Logan took one last glance at his house he's lived in since birth. Instead of giving a sentimental goodbye, he shot up his middle finger at the small home. That was the place he saw his father, intoxicated from alcohol, scream at his mother every night in the living room while he was doing homework, and the same place where Logan even tried to attempt suicide at 13 after his father hit him for the first time. After that, his father got arrested for a hit-and-run, and not one of them got in contact with each other.

The move to Minnesota was breezy, surprisingly to Logan. Since it was the fourth week in September, the Minnesota air was cold and chilly as the state was adapting to the season of Fall. Autumn was always a favorite to Logan; though it was hard to experience the cold weather and leaves changing in Texas because since it was always sunny and dry where he lived.

The Shakopee houses were a major improvement from Carrizo Springs houses. Carrizo Springs houses looked small, like barn houses or ranches. Shakopee houses looked livelier, still having that dull effect that Logan successfully guessed right, but they still appeared homelier and bigger than his old house. They were both pretty small, but Logan didn't mind.

The move was a week ago, and during that week was settling in and Joanna signing up Logan into the local high school, Shakopee High School. Pretty bland and basic name, Logan thought. His old high school's name, Savanna Ridge High, sounded better. Logan was just trying to find random ways to make the transition to a new school worse.

His first day of school was officially tomorrow, Wednesday. That was the highlight of the move; his first day of school being in the middle of the week so if his first day went shit he would only have 2 more days then the weekend. He really wasn't anticipating anything. It's not like he would make friends instantly or anything.

Logan was just focused on his education, anyway. And seniors like him were focused on drugs and alcohol and other blasphemous crazy ideas. Even if Logan wanted to participate in those stuff, he wouldn't know where to start. Everything intimidates him.

Oh, yeah, and he's gay. So wouldn't that make him even more of a target? How he couldn't wait.
