Chapter three: Huli Mikage

Mikage walked or rather jumped Kathryn back to her treehouse then sat her down on the bed. It was still midnight and Mr Blessed was asleep

"Thanks back I thought I was doomed..." Kathryn thanked him for the thousandth time.

"No problem, just don't go picking fights with spirits!" Mikage playfully hit her in the head causing her to laugh:

"Well in my defence a mother and child were about to be eaten... Though I'm glad they escaped, at least I know that out there somewhere a child will have a better mother than I ever had." Kathryn sighed.

"Oh, what do you mean?" He questioned sitting beside her, "what happened?"

"She chose a man over me... It's good they are perfect for each other they are both rotten to the core." Kathryn replied glaring at a photo in the wall of a brown-haired woman with green eyes.

"You really should take that whores photo down, people like her have no business being related to treasures like you who were willing to give your own life just to preserve two strangers ones..." Mikage sighed.

"Yeah, dad put it up there... Let's take it down." Kathryn sighed and tried to reach for it but it was too high she tried to jump for it but it was no use... Then she felt strong arms lift her up:

"Huh?" She looked and saw Mikage.

"Go on." He sighed with a smirk, "take it down."

And so Kathryn did and when she did she grabbed a match and burned it. She may have lost a mother to a pig of man years ago but now she had made a new friend and they would be so much more than just friends, but for now. A new friendship was stirring. Kathryn had learned not to look back on the past.

"Mikage, you look very please today," Yuehong smirked seeing his sons smiling like a lovesick puppy at the table.

"Yeah, did you meet someone?" Lutecia too was curious.

"Yeah, I did someone special."
