Chapter twelve: Birth of Hime.

A few years past since the incident, Kathryn was now twenty-two. She and Mikage were now dating happily however mistakes were made and...

"Your due date is on March twenty-six, congrats." The doctor sighed, "though I specialise in human babies I think you might need to see a spirit Kathy, I don't wanna mess anything up."

"Thanks." Kathryn was ecstatic. She ran down from where she was though her running was much heavier than before.

But when she arrived downstairs she saw her fluffy boyfriend with his ears down twitching his nose, he probably thought that his love was badly hurt but the news that she had would frighten him more:

"Mika, guess what?!"

"What, please don't tell me your dying." He continued to lament.

"Oh, it's not that bad... In fact, it's rather good." Kathryn laughed.

"I'm pregnant!"

"What?!" Mikage sprang up.

He started running around the room like a maniac bunny-fox spirit.

"Mika, calm down! We can handle this, I think..." Kathryn giggled seeing the state of chaos her boyfriend was in.

Mikage looked at her and twitched his nose sadly:

"I'm so sorry, I just don't want you to be hurt..."

"Aww, don't cry. We will handle it."

Several months later:

"We can't handle it!" Kathryn cried as she felt the agonising pain in her stomach.

It felt like her bones were being ripped apart.

Mikage, however, was focused on making sure the baby made it out and finally after hours of straining a babies cry was heard throughout the room.

Mikage wrapped her in a towel and handed her to his fiancee.

Kathryn took the child - it was a girl with icey blue hair and long gold to silver fox ears and one tail of the same colour.

Kathryn beamed and cuddled the child to her chest:

"Welcome to the world Hime-chan!"

"So you decided to name her that after all?" Mikage laughed as the name literally meant princess in Japanese.

"Yup, she's our little princess after all!"

"Why didn't you tell me I was a Grandpa!" Yuehong dropped his fox ears as his son informed him of the new arrival.

"Revenge." Mikage smirked evilly, "that's what you get for cutting in my confession a few years ago!"

This made Yuehong sulk more:

"Your so mean!"

And he cuddled his new grandbaby for comfort Hime on her part as a newborn was confused but hugged back. Meanwhile, Kathryn smacked Mikage on the head and scolded him:

"Be nice he's your father!"
