Harry has now turned 6; he has continued his weekly lessons with Dumbledore and is working very hard on all of his animagus forms. He and the marauders have decided that it is best for him to leave the form of a grindolow for last because he would have to practise that when he was in the water; luckily for them, there was a very nice indoor pool inside of Potter manor.
He has mastered the form of the lion and the puma because they were fairly similar processes, and after Dumbledore carrying out various tests on Harry, he found the speed of the puma was becoming integrated into Harry's human form. Harry was excited by the prospect of having the abilities of his animagi rub off onto him because not only would he now be blessed with speed but also strength from the bear and swimming speed and breathing under water from the grindolow.
Harry was sitting in the kitchen talking to Sirius and James whilst the Potter household house-elves, Luky and Lichy, were clearing up. Luky and Lichy were treated very well, they were given their own quarters and usually sat at the dinner table with the rest of the family and participated in conversations.
'Alright Harry, Dumbledore tells me that you've become very close to getting the phoenix?' Sirius asked whilst Harry nodded and transformed his entire body into that of a phoenix except his face which was still in his human form. 'Your actually doing really well, it took me and Prongs here around a year and a half to get that far.' This made Harry self conciously grin.
'Prongslet, I want you to imagine yourself as a full, head strong phoenix. Recognise the feeling that you got from when you release your patrons, that is the feeling which I want you to recognise, embrace it.' James said with encouragement sounded strong in his voice. Harry nodded and let out a slow breath before closing his eyes and imagining them as ones of a phoenix.
Harry opened his eyes and saw his two father figures gawk at him in shock, Sirius was so shocked that he even dropped his mouth, making James subconsciously close it for his brother. Harry jumped up and fluttered around the room before transforming back to himself.
'Okay that was awesome', Sirius whispered in astonishment, 'Harry why don't you try out the teleportation of the phoenix, you know, shoot a ball of fire and go to the drawing room and then come back here'. Harry's phoenix form nodded as it began to beat it's wings, it thought of the drawing room, instinctively he shot a ball of fire and felt some warmth engulf his feathers as he found himself in the drawing room. He then re-did the process to find himself in the kitchen once agin; being greeted by a round of applause from his fathering figures and the house elves.
Sirius rose from his seat and said walked off, claiming that he had some big plans for Marlene that night, as he flood over to his own home. James suggested to Harry that he go to his grandparents house in his phoenix form because phoenixes can carry a lot of weight(luggage) and the experience will be more pleasant than apparation, for his grandparents at least.
Harry got up from his seat and turned into his phoenix form before spitting a ball of fire and finding himself in his grandparents living room. Mr and Mrs Evans were very startled and felt somewhat threatened when a mysterious bird suddenly came into their living room; however, before they could act the phoenix transformed into a beaming child, also known as their loving grandson.
'Harry?! God you gave me a fright!' Grandpa stammered.
'Sorry Grandpa and Grandma, Dad sent me over because he said that you guys find appiration a bit uncomfortable so he told me to come myself.'
'But you were just a bird?' his Grandma said
'Indeed I was, a phoenix to be precise, it's a magical bird I can transform into at will. I can also turn into a lion and a puma!' the boy said rather excitedly as he turned into each creature whilst his grandparents looked at him in awe. 'I'm actually working on turning into a bear and a magical fish like man called a grindolow'.
'That is incredible' Grandpa said
'Which part darling?'Grandma replied
'The fact that he's being so humble about such a commendable achievement' Harry snorted at this comment. His grandparents went upstairs to get their luggage for the trip whilst Harry followed in suit.
'So what's been up with Mr. Perfect Dudikens recently?' Harry asked in a mocking tone.
'It was his birthday recently, we didn't get him any presents which he truly liked so we were kicked out of the party. If anything isn't over £100 it's seen as useless in his eyes, and if he hasn't got more presents that last year, the temper tantrums restart', Grandpa sighed whilst Grandma could only nod in agreement.
'Enough about how poorly Dudley is being raised, Harry lets talk about why we couldn't just drive to your home'.
'Because Grandma, I've told you a thousand times that we live in Scotland, you can't really drive up to the place. When you're done I'll take you, you guys will really enjoy it, I promise'.
When Mr and Mrs Evans finished packing Harry transformed back into his phoenix before his grandparents grabbed onto his tail and were engulfed by the warmth of Harry's fire. They both opened their eyes to find themselves in Potter manor, and looked around in awe, causing Mr Evans' mouth to even drop. James grinned as he saw their reactions and walked up to them.
'James, remind again how you keep this boy more humble than Dudley' his mother in law quipped whilst James chuckled at this comment.
'It's all Lily! She distracts him with books and tells him stories which make him decide for himself how to truly act. Anyway, what do think of the house?'
'It's brilliant, gorgeous, marvellous!' they both replied in unison.
'Harry why don't you show your grandparents around whilst I go and ask Luky and Lichy if they can set up a bedroom for them' James said whilst Harry nodded and lead them into the library.
'This is our library, I've read over three quarters of the books in here, mum and dad have a bet going! Dad thinks that its impossible for me to finish all of the books in here before I go to Hogwarts but mum thinks otherwise. I'm already six and I've read three quarters of the books so I should probably agree with mum.
Harry showed his grandparents around the rest of the house until his mum came; his mum was extremely happy to see them without being interrupted by Petunia or Dudley, so she persuaded them to make the most of it and stay for an extra week.
