Five Years Later

Unknown POV

I stood smiling as the people came in and out of the store. I never knew that I would be able to start a business as my own, let alone get over my anxiety. I smile as a child runs around the store with her mother.

"Mae, they are so pretty." The little girl said as she pointed to some of the items for sale. Her mother smiled down at her, placing a hand on her head.

"Isn't it, Eye, should we buy it?" the woman said, her smile never faltering. The little girl nodded, causing her mother to smile even more. "Ok then but be careful we don't want to break it." The lady picks the item up and brings it over to me.

"How much is this?" She asks me.

"200, but I think I can go down on the price. Just for a smile you can have it for free." I say as I wrap the item up.

"A-are you sure?" the lady asks stunned. "wouldn't the owner be upset."

"Not at all, I am the owner." I say, I must have shocked her even more. I don't blame her, even though I was twenty-seven now, I still looked young. "I made everything here, this piece I call Chopper." I say as I had her the wrapped sculpture of Chopper.

"Thank you so much." The woman waied and left with her daughter in tow. I went to the back and was sorting things when I hear the bell signaling that someone else had just come in. Walking out of the storeroom I go to greet the new customer.

"Hello welcome..." My words cut off at the sight in front of me. Even after five years, he still took my breath away. Not that I hadn't kept up with the going ons of his business. After I left, he tried to contact me, but I mailed the phone back to him from my previous address. Then I kept tabs on what was happening. He sold his company, and kept out of the news, though I did hear that his father and mother had gotten divorced.

"Hi, a friend told me about this..." Mew paused as he finally looked at me, our eyes connecting. "Gulf?" It was barely a whisper, but loud enough for me to hear.

"It's really you." Mew said as he strode towards me, never breaking eye contact. I retreat backwards, until my back hit the wall. Why does this feel so familiar? I ask mentally. Mew stops only inches from me, his hand coming up and landing on my cheek. He cups my face for a second before his lips meet mine, my arms instantly go around him, as if we hadn't been apart for five years, our bodies still fit perfectly. Mew pulls away his forehead resting on mine, our breath mixing with the others.

"Mew." I say when I finally can breathe and push him away slightly. I look into his eyes, seeing the millions of questions he has, and shake my head. I don't blame him, I left so suddenly, and didn't even explain.

"I see." Mew said as he stepped back fixing his suit. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have done that." I chuckle at him, of course he would misunderstand. Shaking my head, I notice he is glaring at me now.

"No apology needed." I say with a smile. I place my hand on his cheek, causing his eyes to widen. "I really have missed you." Removing my hand, I go to walk around him, only to feel his arms wrap around my back.

"I missed you too." Mew says as his nose instantly goes to my neck, inhaling my scent. "You still smell of strawberries and vanilla." I smile as my body takes in his warmth.

"How about we go get some coffee." I say as I turn around, detaching his arms from me, earning me a pout. "Don't pout, I can see the millions of questions going through your eyes."

"I don't care, I am just glad I finally found you." Mew says a pout still on his face. I chuckle at him, shaking my head at his cuteness, when did he get so cute?
