Mason's p.o.v
I was lucky I didn't pass out like Mel, Adam was busy....flirting. I look over to see and he's just flirting with at least 5 girls, player. "Yo Mason! Honey Bunny is waking up" He said. I looked over and she's slowly waking up, I heard yelling. "Move out of my way!" Someone said. It was that girl from earlier, Sara. "You are at the same level as him so why didn't you fight?! That wasn't a victory in the hallway that was pathetic!!" She yelled. At this point Mel was fully awake, all she said was "I didn't think that was a fight, I thought you just wanted to release your anger" she was so stoned faced. "I want you to stand, RIGHT NOW AND FIGHT ME!!" Sara said. Mel smiled and said she can't. This just angered Sara more "You bitch!! What a pathetic excuse of a human, you can stand if you wanted to!! Your pathetic!!" Said Sara as she was about to hit her. I grabbed her wrist and stood in front of her, "Now now she's clearly not at her full strength, what kind of a win is that?" I said. She just stared at me, she wanted me to move but I didn't budge. She gave up, I look at Mel and she was already back to sleep. Everyone left except for me and Adam. "So, you gotta crush on her yet?" Adam said smirking. Does this guy think of anything else but that? "Do you?" I asked back. He shook his head, which was odd especially after what he was gonna do earlier before the fought. "After the fight I see her as a sister, so I'm grossed out by what I almost did" Adam said. Which he should be. "Is it bad I don't think Sara is a bad person? She's just lashing out after what happened with her old partner" He said. "The guy she went on jobs with?" I asked. "It wasn't just some guy, it was her brother. The job went south and he got killed. No one talked about it, I think that bothers her that no one said anything. As if it didn't happen" He responded. Now I see, it's not that she has anything towards Mel, she's just angry. Not at her, but just angry. Time went by and School is over in 10 minutes and Mel isn't awake yet, Adam helped me get her out of the bed. "I'll drive you guys!" Adam said all cheery. Before I could tell him no he already took the keys. "Uhhh hey Mason, can I stay at your place tonight? I'll be out by morning" Adam asked. I guess he can sleep on the couch. I said ok and didn't ask why, it's not my place. Once we got there I put Mel in her bed, but she must be dreaming cause she acting odd, almost scared. I turned the lights off and waited for her to wake up.
Mel's p.o.v
Where am I? Prison bars? Why am I chained up? Wait, no! It can be, I-I'm back here?! It's too dark.... they're gonna get me! I hear foot steps, "just stay still, this will only hurt a lot" he said. No, no I always keep a light on why is this happening!! I saw a light turn on, and there was Mason sitting there kind of concerned. That was all, a dream? No, a nightmare. I was breathing so fast and I couldn't stop, I couldn't move. "Say 5 words that are important to you" he said. What? Why? For some reason, I want to listen "Hope, trust, family, truth, and love" I said still breathing fast. "Now repeat" he replied. So I did, I repeated those words until I felt calm again. "How did you know that would work?" I asked. "I didn't, I just knew you were panicked" he replied. This guy just does things without thinking doesn't he? "I don't know what you saw, but whatever it was it's gone. Go back to sleep we'll talk in the morning. We don't have school so we can go get stuff for your room" he said walking away.
Mason's p.o.v
"It's not what I saw, it's the fact that I couldn't see anything" she said. "I don't like the dark, cause I don't know what's in it" she continued. I left the room after she said that. Just what exactly did she go through? She couldn't move and her flame was so chaotic and afraid. "I think I know why you like her" I heard someone say. It was Adam on the couch. "What are you talking about perv?" I asked. "Relax no need to be mean! You never talk to anyone at school not even new students, so I'm just figuring out what's different about her" he said. I'll play into this "alright what's your theory?" I asked. "It's because she doesn't know what you are isn't it? Of course there's rumors but there's no proof they're true" he said. Hm nice theory, but "your not right but your not wrong. I'll admit it's a nice change, but it's her eyes. For someone who seems to have been through so much, her eyes hold innocence and purity, hope. It's not something I see often in people" I said. "You knew she had more then one type of flame didn't you? The whole time?" He asked. "Yeah, I'm the devil remember? I sense people's flames" I said with a smirk. He laughed a little bit and I went to bed.
(Time jump to next day)
When I woke up I went to go get Mel out of bed. I knocked on the door over and over again, still wouldn't leave her room. After a while she got out of her room "the hell you want?" She said coldly. Definitely not a morning person.
"Ok scary here's the deal, I'm gonna work on the apparent a bit, so I'll give you my card and you'll have to buy some stuff on your own. I'll text you when I can meet up with you" I said. She agreed and got ready to leave, then left.
Melia's p.o.v
I forgot I don't know this place very well yet, luckily I can use my phone to help me find places, well places I can read. Mason is on to me, he doesn't know exactly what has happened and why I came here.
(4 hours time past)
I went to a lot of stores and got things I needed, I feel bad for using Mason's money though. Wait a second, what's this feeling? I turned around, this man was just looking at me. He doesn't have the tattoo does he? I look at his arm, there it is, the tattoo. How did they find me? Was it that guy who fought Mason? No time to think I have to get out of here. I started to walk fast, so did he, faster, faster, RUN!! When I turn the corner I was grabbed by my waist and my mouth was covered. "Don't make a sound he's still there" he said. Mason?! How did he find me. I stayed there until he moved his hand off my mouth. "That was close, now do you mind telling me why Mr. scary was chasing you?" He asked. Well shit, I guess I can't hide too much longer can I? " You we were experimented on weren't you?" He asked. "How did guess?" I asked back. "Well the way you said certain things and how both guys have the same tattoo. Either you were a part of a cult, gang or a illegal experimental group" he said. He's not wrong, illegal experimental groups use tattoos to know who's a friend and who's a foe and to show what kind of experiments they are doing. Only people who are involved know what the tattoo means. In a way, it's still a cult. We walked home in silence, he wants to know, but if I tell him he'll get involved.
