The sun flooded into my eyes much earlier than expected.

For a few blissful moments, I forgot were we were, I could only see Alfie and Louise and Tanya, and thought how loveley it was to be surrounded by my friends on a sunny.......

And then I remembered.

I felt like I was drowning in sadness.I can't remember exactly how we had drifted away from the others, but we did and my brother and closest friends were presumed dead. I felt fresh tears welling in my eyes.

"Hey little one" I heard Alfie seepily mutter. He sat up and embraced me, before I started full on sobbing.

"Alfie I'm so scared"

"I know baby, I know. But everybody's fine"

I saw Louis's lifeless body floating in the water and knew he was lying.

"It was a quick way to go baby" Alfie muttered, like he could read my mind.

"Louis must have been having a wild ride before we got knocked unconscious too." Jim added, but he was wrong. I was sat next to Louis when we heard the announcement. He made me promise everything was going to be OK.

I let him down, and that's what hurt the most.

Louise was awake and rubbing her eyes, and Tanya was asleep in Jim's arms.

"Chummy?" Louise yawned "Be brave. For Louis if nobody else"

I sniffed and stood up, shaking.

"OK, chummy, set up a fireplace, Alfie, go get wood. Jim, wake up Tanya and you two, go find food!"

"Ok, I'll just pop to Tesco!" Jim said calmly. "Zoe, there is no food!"

"Why Louis? He'd know what to do!" Alfie groaned.

"Ok, we need to find some food." Louise said calmly.

I sat down on a log. The trees around us were suddenly horribly loud and the sunlight was making me queasy.

I started panting. I was having a panic attack.

"Ok, Jim, Alfie, go look for anything edible and bring it back here. I need to stay with Zoe." Louise snapped into action when she saw what was going on

Chummy was so much better at taking charge than me.

Tanya was just starting to stirr. "What's happening?" She mumbled. Jim went too hold her but Louise snapped "JIM SHE WILL BE FINE BUT THIS IS FOOD! I KNOW SHE'S YOUR FIANCÉE, BUT SHE'S GOING TO STARVE UNLESS YOU TWO GET A MOVE ON!"

Jim and Alfie ran off sharpish after that, and I finally started to calm down.

Me, chummy and Tanya just had a big group cry after that, and we started feeling a bit better. I imagined Louis plummeting down, like he was on a rollercoaster before falling too sleep, which made it a little more bearable.

Alfie and Jim returned with nothing but an already dead fish.

We started a fire and roasted it, with no oil or salt it was disgusting but we needed to eat something.

We ate in companiable silence. Alfie and Jim talked about moving on a and where too set up camp, but then the conversation dwindled to silence.

We were all wondering where the others were, and praying like hell they were OK.

We were doing fine

Troye and Tyler making out every time I turned my head was not helping, but apart from that we had found a cave on the beach full of fish and the sand was so dry starting a fire was like turning on a light switch. We were so sad about Louis, but we couldn't ask for a better welcome to the Island. The only thing was the worry. We were worried about the others and worried about being found by a tribe or a tiger.
