In the midst of the wild,
I saw you lost in the moonlight.
For you were a Fenrir child,
Who could kill me, in one bite.
Half of me wanted to flee,
When I saw your eyes, flaming red.
But something convinced me,
That you won't kill me dead.
I moved closer, in distance,
And, I saw your eyes, had a ring of gold.
Which was nothing but, innocence
Of the grey beast, strong and bold.
I was rooted to the ground,
As you started coming closer.
Fear wrapped me around
With its cold, little fingers.
You sniffed and sensed my fear,
And I didn't know what to do.
I lifted my hand and I felt your ear,
With awed eyes, I looked at you
We stood silently in the freezing breeze
Without looking at my eye
You walked away through the trees,
Leaving me alone, without a goodbye.

PoetryThis is a poem about a girl's encounter with a wolf in a full moon night in the woods. It describes the courage she has, to face the grey beast, even though she is afraid and hopeless in making out alive from the woods.
