*Jacob POV*
I stood staring at the empty space where I had last seen the cold one. Something about him warmed me, in an almost ironic way. I'm not sure why I was already infatuated with this vampire. But, I couldn't wait to see him again...
...shit. SHIT! What the hell am I going to tell dad? Or how am I going to lie my way through this with the pack? I'll just have to hope no one else was in wolf form tonight. Fat chance.
Walking back to the rez, I realized I still had my hand clenched as if holding his. God, I have to stop. I don't even know his name. The sun was rising by the time I mad it back to my place on the rez. The thought of him was like venom in my blood. Uncontrollable and with no way to stop it from taking over my body. "Jacob!", I heard my father's voice yell at me angrily. "Were you out alone last night?" Go figure.
"I was just investigating a noise I heard, Dad. I'm sorry." He seemed to believe me just enough for him to turn his wheelchair around and head back home. I didn't particularly like lying, but sometimes it was necessary. Father would much rather hear that I was being stupidly snooping in the woods than the truth. That I was falling in love with a male vampire.
When I opened my door to go inside and sulk, I was greeted by Sam. Fuck. He knows something. "Hello, Sam." He glared at me and shoved past me on his way out. "Faggot.", he muttered.
That night, I stared up at the ceiling. Mostly feeling sorry for myself. After what seemed like hours, I heard a noise. Yes! I ran outside and to the edge of the treeline. And there he was. He smirked and ran further into the woods, where I recklessly and eagerly followed. Standing there, looking through the trees, I tried to spot the man I keep chasing after. Before I knew it, I felt icy hands on my bare skin and shuddered.
"Sorry, baby. Did I scare you?"
"Of c-course not." I turned around and faced him. I wanted to know his name, but didn't know how to ask. I was frightened, but not because of the predator in front of me, who was clinging to my bare waist and had made a habit of staring at my chest. "Xander."
His voice soothed me out of thoughts. "What?" He looked amused. "My name. Xander Driscoll." He put his hands on my chest and my mind went blank. He pulled me closer and kissed me. With his lips still on mine, he began to speak. "I'm sorry I ran off before we could do more last time, baby. I got hungry and didn't want you to be my victim."
My face went red and I began to feel certain ways. I'm not sure how he meant for me to take those words. Xander smirked and moved his kisses down to my neck. I bit my lip and let out a small moan. "I'm surprised you're letting a vampire kiss your neck. Or even touch you like this. Most of your people would have killed me long ago." He spoke nothing but truth and even I didn't understand. I've only met him twice and I've already risked my life being around him.
His lips had moved much further down and I couldn't hold it in any longer. A quiet moan slipped out and Xander seemed pleased. It seemed to have only been a few minutes, but it was already becoming lighter outside. Xander's skin was sparkling and it made him even more attractive. He was sitting on the ground a little ways away and I joined him on the forest floor.
I glanced at the vampire who was staring back. "Jacob. Do you want to continue seeing me?" I nodded my head without hesitation and he was relieved. Xander threw himself on me and held my face close. Swinging one leg over me, he sat on my lap and kissed me desperately. "I don't know why I feel this way about you, Jake. All I know is I need to see you. You make me hot."
In return, I pressed my mouth against his neck and sucked on his cold skin. He moaned quietly and gently ran his fingers through my hair. He made me want to do so much more to him. The way that he seemed so frail, but I knew he was capable of inhumane strength, made me needy. Needy for him.
Xander opened his eyes and looked at me. They were black and he was scared. He kissed me one last time before running off. I sighed and let my head fall back against the tree. After several hours, I got up and began the walk back home. The pack was waiting for me. Along with my father.
Sam glared at me, burning wholes in my body.
"You FAGGOT! Bella leaves and you start looking at dudes? I can't even be around you anymore, Jacob. You make me sick!"
Sam's words stung almost as much as the look of disapproval on my dad's face. One by one, my dad and the pack left after giving me their hurtful opinions. The only one that stayed was Seth. He looked at me kindly and hugged me. "Please don't listen to them, Jake. Like who you like. No matter what, you'll always be like my brother." I smiled at the young man he was becoming. Ruffling his hair, I hugged him back.
I didn't let it show until after Seth walked away. Xander saw all of that. He was watching from somewhere past the trees. Yet, I was the only one who knew it. I ran off into the woods and met Xander. All he had to say was five words.
"Who, what, when, where, why?"
