Keira cried at about 8:20 to be fed. I got out of bed and fixed a bottle for her. I looked into her eyes when I got her out of the bassinet we "bought" her. Something didn't seem right. She looked weak. I picked her up and her tiny body went stiff. Her eyes rolled behind her head. Keira was having a seizure. I ran into the room and got Chris.
"CHRIS OH MY GOD THE BABY IS HAVING A SEIZURE!"
He sprang out of bed. Could anything else go wrong? She had stopped breathing by this point. Her tiny body was blue. Chris started CPR but it didn't work. He stood there for a half hour trying to revive her.
"Please baby girl, don't die on me. Please sweet baby stay alive."
I've never seen him cry.
He sat with the baby in his arms. I sat next to him and rubbed the baby's head. Felix was obviously awake from all the commotion. He came in and saw his sister. He ran into the bathroom and threw up. I went after him.
"Felix I am so sorry, I got her out of bed and she had a seizure."
"It's okay, I'm gonna miss her, I wanted to watch her grow up, I wanted to see her grow beautiful blonde hair like mom or thick curly hair like dad. I'm gonna miss my baby sister."
Chris walked into the room still holding the baby
" we need to bury her. Let's drive down to the funeral home and get a tiny casket and head stone."
We agreed and got dressed. He put the baby in a dress we bought for her and we left.
When we reached the funeral home we found a small casket. I started crying because I've never seen a casket this small let alone had to bury a tiny baby girl. Chris laid her down gently. I kissed her. Goodnight baby girl.
Chris wrapped her casket in pink ribbon.
We went back to my house and decided to bury her there so we could see her everyday. We dug a hole for hours. Finally it was about 6 feet deep so we set her in and filled it in.
Chris and Felix stayed outside but I went in because I didn't want them to see me cry.
(One week after)
Chris was still sad after the death of the baby. Felix was pretty much better because he was younger and it didn't affect him as much.
I sat next to Chris and he put his arm around me and kissed my head.
" babe we need groceries" I said
He laughed and told me that we would go after he showered. Felix was outside playing so I went up with Chris. I sat on the toilet while he got undressed. He took his shirt off. Oh. My. God. He looked over and winked at me. He grabbed my waist and pulled me up to him. He started kissing me. He tried to take my shirt off but I pulled away.
"Chris I'm sorry I'm just not ready"
"It's fine, my fault, I just...need to...take care of something." I walked out of the bathroom and laughed to myself. He was horny.
After he got out of the shower he came downstairs
"How was your "shower" Christopher" I say very sarcastically. He laughed and kissed me. Felix came in and saw us kissing.
" uhhhh hello that's gross"
I laughed and told him to get in the car.
We stopped for gas before heading to the store.
We got the basics. Bread, eggs, milk, and some hamburger meat. We return home.
"I don't feel good." Said Felix
"Go get in the shower and try to get some sleep. Don't forget your mask."
