Sandy sat outside with her lunch box, sitting all alone in the corner. She opened the box and grabbed her daily peanut butter and jelly sandwich. She . Her head drooped as she ate, it was only the second day and she already was having a bad day. Her eyes were focused on her food until a shadow mounted over her. Sandy looked up and saw HW staring down at her. Sandy's eyes lit up and she hugged HW tighter then ever. " HW! YOU'RE HERE! WHERE WERE YOU??" HW sat down next to Sandy and blushed but stayed quiet. Sandy stared at her and blushed back. HW put her paw on top of Sandy and they both stared quietly at each other for a few moments. They had a small moment of staring and blushing until HW broke the silence when she pulled out a small piece of paper. Sandy tilted her head and opened her mouth to speak but kept quiet. HW handed Sandy the note and Sandy began reading.

Since you first came to school I knew you were special, we haven't talked or hung out much but I.. I like you, I just wanted to tell you that It's fine if you don't feel the same way, I understand that. Sandy's thoughts jumbled in her head and she stopped reading there. She put her paw over her mouth and knew what she was gonna ask without even reading the rest of the note. She hugged HW as tight as she could and smiled so wide, HW was obviously sweating but she hugged Sandy back. They quickly finished their food and raced back to class pretending nothing happened, but Sandy walked a little faster and held her head up confidently while sitting at her desk.
