A Tale Of Two Nerds (Zarry) c.s

Prologue

"Zayn?" Harry suddenly spoke.

He was looking at me through cracked black glasses. He had a bruise forming just under his eye and a bleeding lip.

We were in the school toilets, hiding from Jason and his friends. I was currently looking through my bag for the first aid kit I always kept there, just in case one of the injuries I received on a daily basis was serious. It would save the embarrassment of having to go to the school nurse or the possibility of the headmaster finding out about the bullying. I had been bullied since grade three for being a bit of nerd, which I'll admit I am, I am now in the sixth form and the bullying hasn't stopped, for me or for Harry.

I found what I was looking for, pulling out a small white case with a Red Cross on it. I flicked the latches open and took out a disinfectant wipe. I, carefully, began dabbing the cut on Harry's lip. He winced as I continued to clean the rest of the cuts and wounds on his face.

"Yeah, Haz?" I, finally, answered.

"Er...I forgot." He said, quietly.

Looking up at his big green eyes that were covered his damaged glasses. I gently took them off his face and put them next to the bathroom sink. I took a good look at his face for any more damage.

"Perfect." I said, still admiring my work. Harry blushed. I frowned and pulled him into a warm embrace.

"I'm so sorry you have to go through this, Harry. I'm so sorry we have to go through this." I mumbled into his shoulder.

"It's ok though, soon we'll be graduating and going off to university," he said, "and they won't be able to because they're too stupid and all they're good for is playing with a ball."

I let out a laugh.

"At least we still have each other, though." He said. I smiled, inhaling his familiar, minty scent.

"Yeah Haz, we'll always have each other."

A/N: hi again, this idea just popped into my mind, so yeah.

I'll probably start this after 'destructive love' (depending on how many reads and stuff this gets) while I'm writing or after I'm finished writing '27 kisses'.
