As the bell rang dismissing us from science, May rushed me to hurry up.
"Come on," she jumps up and down, "Lets gooooooo,"
I grab my things as fast I can, "Why are you such in a rush?"
She looks behind me and whispers, "Because I have to tell you something,"
I sigh and got my things and she pulled me along like I was a dog on a leash. As we got to the doorway, I tripped over my own feet. Great. I'm so graceful.
"Thanks May," I say as I leaned down to grab them.
"It's alright, I got them," Wes says out of nowhere and picks up my stuff.
"Thanks?" I say, but it comes out like a question.
"Anytime," he says with a smile and leaves.
May stands there looking back and forth between us.
"What?"
"I think Wes likes you," she whispers and looks around her, "Remember what he said before?"
I look at her clueless, "Wes. Likes me. Ha. Good one May,"
"I'm serious! He said and I quote 'I'm afraid I can't do that.' He totally likes you!" she whisper yells.
I roll my eyes, "Stop imagining the impossible, May, that will never happen,"
"It's true!" she argues, "Trust me, just watch. He is definitely going to ask you out sooner or later,"
"Ugh, whatever May," I roll my eyes, "What do you have next?"
"Math with Mrs. Goodman,"
"Really? Me too!" I say.
"Awesome, let's go," she says.
We walk to class and I accidentally bump into Wes.
"Oh my gosh, I'm sorry," I say instantly, but my face drops when I see him.
"No problem," he says with a smirk, "Do you have a pencil I could borrow?"
"Oh sure," I say giving him the only pencil I have.
"Thanks," he says and leaves.
Why did I just do that? It's so obvious that I like him.
May pulls on my sleeve and whispers, "Why did you do that?"
I shake my head and sigh, "I have no clue,"
We walk into class and sit down, "Do you have a pencil I could borrow?"
She gives me a look, "Even using the same words as him? And sure,"
I took the pencil and started writing the stuff on the board like May was doing. I'm so stupid. Why? Why? Why?
Class ended and we walked to the cafeteria. It was packed even though the bell rang a minute ago. We both sigh and stand in the longest line ever.
"Get use to it," May complains, "It's like this everyday,"
I nod, "Yeah, it was like this at my old school,"
While waiting in line, I took the opportunity to take in my surroundings. The lunchroom was pretty big compared to the one I was used to and a bunch of people were swarming from table to table. I saw Wes sitting at his table and saw a girl come up to him. They said their greetings and she hugged him.
"Eww, Sabrina," May says knowing that I'm looking over there, "She's always all over Wes and it's pretty obvious that Wes is so not into her,"
