Tendou x reader | Next Door

{•Chapter 3•}

"Y/n!" You hear someone call your name as you wandered around the school at the end of the day trying to find your locker.

You look at where the voice came from and find Tendou waving his arms around in the air attempting to get your attention. He jogs over to you and places both hands on your and shoulders and he begins shaking you back and forth.

"Where were you, I was trying to find you for so long!" he says, he stops shaking you and lets you catch your blankets.

"I've been trying to find my locker but I haven't had any luck, this school is just so big and I'm not good with numbers." You say and show him the locker number you had written down on your phone, you went to your locker in the morning but that's just because Tendou brought you there.

He looks closer at your phone and brings you back to the exact same locker you were at in the morning.

"Thank you so much once again." You tell him and put your books into your locker and take your bag out.

"You have volleyball practice, correct?" You ask staring up towards him.

"Yeah you should come watch, unless you are busy then it's fine." He says as you both begin walking down the hall together.

"No, I'm not busy not that I know of at least." You say and start thinking if you did have any extracurricular activities.

"Well come on then!" He energetically dragging you by the hand towards the boys volleyball gym.

"Hold on I need to catch my breath!" You say holding onto your knees trying to take fresh breaths of air.

You both enter the gym but you feel really out of place since everyone is staring at you.

"Oh hey y/n, are you going to be our manager or something?" Semi says entering the gym behind the both of you.

"I don't know, I just came here to watch you all practise I guess." You say and turn your head towards around him.

"It's not like I know a lot about volleyball, I would like to but-" You then get interrupted by someone you know quite well.

"I don't think you could, since your not experienced enough." You hear a very familiar voice say which in fact belonged to your old friend.

"Come on, Wakatoshi!" Tendou pushes you to face Ushijima, you look up at him with the cute look you used to get what you wanted when you were little.

"No. It's not like you can learn everything overnight." he says staring down at you.

"Is that a challenge, well I say challenge accepted Ushiwaka!" You stare up at him with the same look he was giving you just a moment ago.

You run out of the gym just before yelling at Tendou "Tendou meet me at my place after practice your gonna help quiz me!"

"You got it!" He yells back and gives you a thumbs up.

"Why won't you let her, I know you must want to see her more?" Tendou says to Ushijima.

"Yes, but Coach wouldn't want someone to manage a team if they aren't even experienced."

"Everybody starts off somewhere along the line don't they!" Tendou peers around to look at him.

But Ushijima just walked off, maybe he thought he was protecting you..
