He's only 6 but is a fantastic horse. I'm 13, and I'm 1 of 10 kids. Ami is the oldest, she's 16. Then me and Mione are twins, we are 13, David is 12, Nevaeh is 10, James is 6, Nicole and Mercy are 5, May is 4, and Michelle is 3. We live in a small house in the middle on nowhere, in Tennessee. " Hi Gus how are you pretty boy?" "Aweeee your so cute buddy." He hung his head outside of his stall and winnied. I've had Gus for the longest, but I have 3 more horses. A Bigger Infinity, or Hazel is an 8 year old liver chestnut thoroughbred. Tasting The Stars, or Champagne is a palomino quarter horse and lastly a paint named Blind Side or Isaac. Incase you haven't noticed, I love The Fault In Our Stars. I'm Cass, I'm 13 and an equestrian athlete. Today is my jumping lesson on Gus, and I'm really nervous.
" Come on Gus it's time to go big guy," I gently tugged on the reins pulling foreword towards the arena. I tightened his girth, grabbed the cantle and pommel of my saddle and hopped up. Mounting from the ground took lots of practice and embarrassment, but it's worth it now. " Hello Cass, how are you today?" My trainer, Noelle asked me. " I'm okay, how are you, Noelle?" " I'm great Cass thank you. Ready to jump?" The truth is, I want to jump, I want to be great. The only problem is I'm terrified. I tapped Gus behind his girth and he picked a smooth hunter canter. I aimed him towards a 3ft vertical. As we drew nearer, what ifs started running through my head. Gus snapped his knees and I folded over his neck. He landed softly on the other side. Through the rest of my lesson I gained confidence, but I knew I would be scared at my next lesson too.
