CHAPTER FIVE

You arrived at the eatery, entering and seeing your boss with your other coworkers.
"I decided, it would be best if we wore uniforms. It would be sanitary and also some higher ups said it was necessary."
Your boss explained, your coworkers agree and chitchat,
Thought there was an event today...

Your boss began to distribute the uniforms in bags, sky blue shirt, black pants for the men and black skirts for the women. You get your uniform and change into it.

"Ah! Right, as you've all heard, there will be an event today. Near our eatery, so be prepared to have multiple people coming in. Just do your best."
You go forward asking about the event,
"Y/N, the event... Well, there's a new stadium and it's very popular. People have been waiting for its opening, a book signing is happening, band performance every night. And a very popular celebrity is performing there tonight."
You nod your head, understanding the event a bit more.

The kids enter, ordering the same thing and sitting in the same spot.
"Alright, kids... There's an event going on, so sadly you can't linger after you eat. If you guys don't wanna go home, you can go to my place. Use the spare key I gave you, Yutani."
She nods, while the others just ate their food.

Just as what your boss had said, a lot of people were coming in and out. The whole place was packed.

"Im gonna need to take 5..."
Your manager nods, and you walk towards the back. Closing the door behind you, just sitting down by the pavement.
You open your phone, few messages from contractors. You decided to accept a few, even though you still have extra money, you doubted it would last you two months.
So far, all the contracts I accepted canceled... And the woman I owe money messaged me...

"Hey Y/N! You know I hate to rush you, and you could still pay me with no specific price! But this time, I need you to pay me $390,000,000,000
I know it's a big and scary number but it's for business. You can pay by the end of the month. xoxo"

Shit... How am I gonna get that type of money...

You hide your phone, standing up and dusting off your uniform. Just as you were about to open the door, you heard strange noises down the alleyway...

You decided to peek as to who or what was making the noises, and you sighed seeing bunny-- Frank struggling to hide a body.

"Does a bunny rabbit need help?"
You say with a baby voice, snickering after. He just looks at you and sighs,
"Help would be very much appreciated."
You approach him,
"Did you use a knife or something? It's best if we make it look like it's suicide..."
"I used a knife. Here it is,"
While the both of you put the body upwards, against the wall. He places the knife in its hand.
"Thanks, but you should go now. Your manager is looking for you."
He points behind you, seeing your manager looking around for you.
"Well, seeing as you don't look like you just committed a murder, why don't you come in and eat."
He nods, walking towards the front entrance. You enter through the back and tend to the customers again.
You asked,
"Welcome! What can I get you?"
And asked,
"Welcome! What can I get ya?"
And asked...
"Welcome, what can I get you?"

Too many people...
You thought,
You gave the woman her change, and the next customer comes in.
OH, it's bun-- Frank...

"Hey, What would you like, bunny?"
You asked him, smiling.
He shakes his head and says,
"Stop calling me bunny... I would like a number 4, and an espresso."
You chuckle, punching in his order.
"Just sit down, bunny and I'll serve you your food."
He just slumps down and sits down by the corner.
You quickly switch with your coworker, now you're gonna be serving people their food. Starting with the bunny's food. You near his table, putting down the plate and his espresso.
"Alot of people are staring, you know... They're probably wondering why you have a mask on. Anyways enjoy your meal--!"
Before you could go, he grabs your wrist. You look at him confused, eyebrows raised, and also a bit anxious. Okay, A LOT of anxiousness.
"Is everything okay, bunny...?"
You chuckle, he lets go of you. Clearing his throat,
"Ah sorry for grabbing you, I just needed to ask who's your new contract?"
He scratches his neck awkwardly.
"Well, I did accept a few earlier. But all of them canceled, saying they found another person to do it for them... Here, have this."
You give him your phone.
He looks up at you confused,
"You can decide who my new contract is. I used all my breaks anyway so I have no time to accept. I trust you, bunny."
You wave at him goodbye. It's true, you do trust him to decide, it's weird yeah but he hasn't done anything that threw you off.
Plus, he could tag along when we're after the same person. All he needs is information anyways, for whatever reason...

You continue to serve the customers their food, sometimes having to apologize for taking too long. You glance at Frank who seems to be texting on your phone.

Your manager calls you to her office; panicking on what you may have done wrong, you enter.
"Yes? You wanted to talk to me...?"
She stares at you, arms crossed. Your heart picks up its pace, sweat forms on your eyebrows as your eyes look around rapidly.

"Are you okay?"
Shocked, you look at her confused.
"I saw you get grabbed by a man, I hope he didn't do anything to you."
Then it clicked. A strange man wearing a mask grabbing an employee would seem weird for the other people.
You chuckle and explained to her.
"OH! Don't worry, he didn't do anything. He's a.... Friend of mine. He just wanted to tell me something about my other job."
Your fingers fidget, hoping she won't aks you what he told you.
"Friend? I guess it's fine, so he works in the same place you do? Seems a bit fancy, him wearing a suit and all.. And especially that bunny mask, why does he wear that?"
She asks you, you don't really know why yourself so all you could do was shrug and smile.
She let's you back to work, releasing a breath of relief.

Your shift is about to be over, so you cleaned some of the tables. Including where Frank sat.
"So, do I have some new contracts? You got me some good ones I hope?"
"Well, I only accepted three. And they coincide with my missions, So we can be together."

Silence fills the gap between you two.

As soon as he realized what he said, you bursted out laughing.
Making the other customers and employees look at the both of you.
Your cheeks hurting and turning red form all the laughter, while Frank faceplams.
You finally calm down, apologizing to everyone.
"Sorry, you guys can continue whatever now!"
You sniffle, turning towards Frank.
"Awwww, that's sweet! Wanting to be together~"
He looks up at you, and you could see his ears are very red.
"I-I just meant, that it would be e-easier if we went together, you get the--"
He sees you trying to hold back from laughing, clutching the trays tightly on your chest.
"You know what, nevermind..."
You exhaled, assuring him it wasn't a big deal.
"It's fine, bunny. I get what you mean, it's just the way you said it. Could I get my phone back now?"
He gives you your phone back, his gloved hand touching yours ever so slightly. You feel tingly.
"Thanks, bunny!"
You wave him goodbye, as he stands up and leaves. He waves back before he goes his way.

The waves of people began to decrease as you cleaned the tables before your shift ended.
Some customers asked you what that was about and you just explained that he said a joke unintentionally. They all believed it.
You take off your apron and uniform, changing back into your regular clothes.

You exit the eatery through the back, seeing the kids doing their skateboard tricks and flips.
"Guys! Y/N is done with their job!"
Fresh exclaims, the other three skate up to you as you make your way to your apartment.
"Care to tell why you guys are tagging along?"
You asked,
"You said we could hang with you today! We just waited for you."
Yutani giggled out,
"Plus, your cookies are the best! Make us some today?"
Jake begged, using his puppy dog eyes.
"Hmmmmm... Alright! Alright, I'll make you some cookies! Now stop the puppy eyes!"
They all cheer and yell in excitement.
You guys turn a corner and you see a familiar masked man looking at your direction, waving at you.
"OH, it's bunny..."
You waved back at him as he turns around and vanishes into the alleyway.
"Y/N stop looking at your boyfriend! Focus on us!"
Tricky sarcastically exclaims.

"No cookies for you guys!"
They all groan and blamed Tricky for the recent events. You giggle at their silliness, and they soon laugh out loud.

I love these kids, man...

Would love it if Frank could actually meet them, but it's too dangerous.
