Omari snapped out of his daze and got up and walked around to Aaliyahs side of the table. Aaliyah was damn near in tears looking at this man. She hadn't seen him in over 10 years and the last time they saw each other was a traumatic moment. She stood up and they just held each other for a long time. Aaliyah couldn't stop the tears from falling.  Omari wasn't known to be a emotional man, so it took everything in him not to shed a tear at this moment. "Stop crying ma." He told Aaliyah in a soft tone and gently wiped her tears away with his thumb. "I see you still a cry baby." He joked making her smile. "Forget you." They just stood there for about 2 more minute forehead to forehead. Mya and Desean let them have their moment. They was confused since they didn't know that they knew each other,  but they would ask questions later. After Aaliyah calmed all the way down she sat back down and Omari went back to his seat. He couldn't believe  that he was here with Aaliyah. He had pushed her and the past to the back of his mind a long time ago, but now she was here and was making him feel feelings that he hadn't felt in years. They just kept looking at each other like this moment wasn't real. "So I guess I'll ask how do yall know each other." Mya was being nosey. Omari looked at Aaliyah so she could answer the question. "We grew up together. This man used to be my best friend when we were kids." Aaliyah answered and smiled at Omari. Omari just smiled. Just then a waitress came over with their food. "You look so familiar, don't I know you from somewhere?" She flirted with Omari. He smirked at her. "Na ma I don't think so." "Oh  well let me know if you need anything." She made sure she emphasized the word anything, and winked at him before strutting off. She put an extra switch in her step as she walked off. Aaliyah look at Omari with raised eyebrows. "Lol  why you looking at me like that ma?" Aaliyah just smiled and shook her head. "No reason just looking." "So what are you doing for the rest of the day?" He asked while eating his food. "Nothing that I know of." "Well we gone kick it today we need to catch up.  I missed you Lee Lee." He sounded so sincere. "Let me find out you got a soft side nigga." Desean tried to crack on Omari. "Nigga aint you on a date? Tend to yo lady." Omari  cracked back. They just burst out laughing. "So what's up Lee Lee you hanging with me?" "Yeah I can do that Mari." "Ok bra after this I'm not gone crack no more jokes." Omari just shook his head. "Now what bra?" "Can I call you Mari too?" Everybody at the table started laughing. "Na bra she has always been the only one to call me that bull shit." Aaliyah cocked her head to the side. "Oh so you don't like it when I call you Mari?" Omari rubbed his hands through his hair and looked at Aaliyah. She has always done something to him, even when they were kids, he always just wanted to make sure she was happy.  "Ma I like whatever you want to call me." He shot Desean a look to shut him up. Aaliyah just smiled she had truly missed her friend. Everybody finished their meals and joked around before heading out. Omari ended up following Aaliyah to her crib since she stayed closer than he did. She invited him inside and he was impressed. She was pushing a 2015 Range Rover,  and had a 3 bedroom 2 bath house that was laid. "You can get something to drink out the fridge if you want. I'm about to change clothes really quick." Aaliyah told Omari before disappearing in her room to change clothes. She looked in her closet and decided on a pink Polo tank top, with black shorts, and a pair of black MK sandals. She accessorized with a rose gold MK watch, a pair of diamond studs, and a pink heart necklace. She let her hair hang down and put a diamond pin it to push it out of her face. After she applied a little lip gloss she was pleased with her appearance. She walked back into the living room and Omari was on the phone.  When he noticed her he cut the call short and put his phone in his pocket. He couldn't help but notice how beautiful she was. She was pretty growing up, but they were young so he wasn't really looking at her like that. They was grown now though and he couldn't fight the attraction.  She had the perfect body, and a beautiful face.  She was definitely a 10 in his book. "Why you looking at me like that Mari?" Aaliyah asked rubbing her hands through her hair. She always did that when she felt nervous. "It just crazy seeing you all grown up that's all." He anwered smoothly. "I know...it's been way too long." Omari could hear a hint of sadness in her voice. He got up and pulled her into a hug. "I'm back now Lee Lee, and I'm not going nowhere ever." "Promise?" "I promise." After he saw her smile he let her go. "So what do you want to do ma?" "I done got dressed,  but I honestly just want to chill and catch up with you." "That's cool with me." They sat down and got comfortable.  "So Mari how long have you been back in Houston? " "I came back when I was 16. Grams didn't want me to, but there's no place like home." "What are you doing now? Where do you stay? How has your grandma been?" Omari laughed. "Lol ma one question at a time. Grams straight I make sure I talk to her at least twice a week, and I got me a little spot in one of those gated communities on the west side." "What are you doing now?" "Lol lets talk about you Lee Lee.  What have you been up to?" "I really haven't been doing much, but working on my music. I'm trying to take off with that." "Music? What do you do?" "I sing." "Ok na you know I want to hear you sing right? I didn't even know you sung." Aaliyah thought for a second and  starting singing: 'I don't need me a basketball player all I need is somebody that's down for me. And he don't have to have money, his love is just like honey it's so sweet to me.' She didnt finish. She was just giving him a sample of what she could do and he was impressed. "Damn ma you good." "Thank you." Aaliyah started blushing at the compliment. "No problem, but what else have you been up to other than music. Its been over 10 years I know we not already caught up." "Lol Mari my last 10 years has been uneventful. My parents moved to Cali when I turned 17, but I decided to stay. Like you said there's no place like home." "So what you doing for money if your parents gone, cause apparently you got it." He joked. Aaliyah sighed. "Well when my parents moved they left me with 10k. I knew that wouldn't last me very long, so let's just say I invested it." Omari cocked  his head to the side. "Invested it how?" "Well at first I just bought some weed and started selling it, then I upgraded to coke and brought in some real money. I only sold drugs for about 3 years, but I stacked up alot of money during that time." "So you telling me you was a drug dealer?" Omari didn't know if he was mad or attracted. "Yeah Mari technically I was, but nobody knew it was me making moves. I had everybody thinking I was a man named Perry, and I had a dude that I knew who handled every personal meeting that I had. I promise you Mari I am not dumb, and knew the danger of selling drugs. After I thought I had a good nest egg saved up I let who everybody already thought was Perry take over. I got all my money out a couple months ago and been focusing on my music ever since." Omari thought for a second, and did remember hearing about a nigga named Perry making some major moves a while back. He would have never thought it was Aaliyah the whole time. The friends talked for hours. Omari finally told Aaliyah what he did, but she wasn't shocked at all. His dad was a big time drug dealer when they were kids, and Omari idolized that man. They finally left Aaliyahs house, but it was only to go out to eat. All that talking they was doing made both of them work up an appetite. They hopped in Omari's car and headed to Long Horns. Omari was in the mood for steak, and theirs was a1. They sat down and placed their drink and food order. They both got Steak and potatoes. While they was waiting on their food a girl walked over to their table. Omari wasn't paying attention,  but Aaliyah never misses anything. "Um O baby what are you doing here, and who is this?" Monica asked Omari. Hearing her voice got his attention making him look up.
