After exchanging greetings, Natsu ordered pizza for the three of us, and we settled on the couch, watching some weird movie about robots that Natsu had blindly picked out. I took another bite from the greasy pizza, watching in confusion as thousands of robots were sent to destroy the remaining fragments of natural landscape.

“Natsu what on Earth is going on in this movie?” I inquired, my eyes narrowed as I devoured the rest of my slice. Shoving the rest of his own slice into his mouth, the male simply replied with a shrug of his shoulders, his cheeks bulged as they tried to hold in the food he had stuffed in.

“Then why did you pick this movie?” I scolded, getting up to grab another slice of pepperoni pizza.

“I dunno I thought it would be good. And I-“ Natsu’s voice was cut short when his hand flew over Wendy’s eyes, her shoulders rising in shock. A piercing scream erupted from the television, and I watched in horror as a woman was ripped to shreds in a matter of seconds. When the gruesome scene finished, Natsu removed his hand hesitantly, probably fearing another unsuspecting victim would be torn apart. We picked another movie after that.

It was nearing ten by the time we had finished watching the movie.

“What do you guys wanna do now?” Asked Natsu, his head leaning back against the couch.

“Well it’s getting pretty late, I don’t wanna outstay my welcome or anything,” I said, gathering my purse that had been slumped over the arm of the single couch.

“You can’t go now! It’s only ten!” Natsu cried.

“Lucy you should stay just a little bit longer!” Wendy pleaded with him, and I was forced into setting my bag back down with a smile.

“Aright I’ll stay for just a little while longer and then I’m leaving,” I sighed in defeat. The three of us lost ourselves to time, and it was soon midnight. Natsu and Wendy decided to walk me home.

“Thanks so much for tonight, you guys! It was so much fun,” I smiled.

“You have to come over again sometime, Lucy!” Wendy chirped, twirling her long hair I had tied into twin-tails for her.

“Yeah, Lucy!” Natsu agreed, and my smile only widened into a grin.

“Well my apartment’s right here,” I said, pulling my keys from my purse.

“We really enjoyed your company! I hope we can hang out again!” The small bluenette cried, and she surprised me with a hug. I quickly hugged her back, patting her on the head.

“I hope we can see each other soon! Take care of that pretty hair, Wendy!”

“Well thanks for stayin’ with us, Luce. See ya soon,” Natsu said, pecking a small kiss on my lips. I smiled at him before disappearing into my apartment building. Locking the door behind me and repeating the action when I got to my room, I quickly changed into pajamas and flopped down on my plush bed. Although I met his younger sister, where were his parents? Deciding to ask, I snatched my phone into my hands and typed a message to Natsu.

Hey if u don’t mind me asking, where were ur parents wen I was over there?

His reply took awhile, and I by the time a small sound pepped from my phone, I had jolted out of my dozing state.

 Natsu

Out

I stared wearily at the brief message. Out? That’s all? I didn’t want to pry, but it didn’t seem like that was all. Or I could be overthinking things. It was a pretty long walk from my apartment to his house, so maybe he had only checked his phone when he got home. I slowly let the thoughts slip from my mind as I drifted off to sleep, the thoughts of earlier this night flooding back to me. A smile possessed my lips until I let sleep overcome me like an all-too welco
