Max

"Max, my father called", she says.

No wonder her mood is sour. Can't the man let her have some peace? Well, it's not time for us to leave yet  and the others aren't even here. I want to calm her down but I don't know how so I just tell her to sit.

"Alexi," I say, "tell me what he said."

I know it's not nice to make her go through that lane again but one thing I've learned about her is that she cools off fast once she can voice her problem.

She exhales first. "He said the usual. He called me a prostitute again." A tear rolls down her cheek. "Then he said I should break up with you. In his words, I should 'leave you alone'."

I clench and unclench my fists. I'm very angry and I don't know why yet.

"But that's not the point", she continues.

"How is that not the point?" I ask. I'm honestly confused. Someone is bothering our relationship which hasn't lasted more than 4 months and she doesn't think it's important?

She holds my hand. "Max, breaking up with you is out of the question because I believe it or not, love your stupid ass."

I laugh at that and she playfully rolls her eyes.

Then she continues. "The main point is how this information got out. It not only got out, but got international too. The only people who know are our friends and my mom. Heck, you haven't even told your family yet and my siblings don't know."

Okay, I understand now.

"Well-" I begin but am cut off by Sam.

"Let's get going people", he says as he barges in.

This is the typical Sam Bolton we all know. There's something different about him today though, he's frowning. I don't know if he barged in today because it's in his nature or if he was fuelled by his anger.

"We'll revisit this matter Alexis", I tell her as I take my car keys.

"Where are the others?" she asks him.

By 'others', she means Renée and Kuso. Khaled and Tim couldn't make it because of work.

"They're outside", he says.

They take the front door while I go to the garage to drive my car out.

Alexis

The drive to Sam's house was short since he doesn't live far from Max. Well, that's his parents' house, Sam lives in his own apartment in Grand Arts estate though he has a house of his own somewhere that I can't remember.

As far as I'm concerned, this isn't much of a plan. I mean how is moving out a plan? When he told me that was his big plan, I was disappointed. I expected it to involve gluing his dad and his mistress to the floor or something.

His choice of day was strategic though. He chose the day his dad's family would be moving in, which is today. This might end up being epic.

We all park in front of their mansion.
The house is pretty big and everything I was expecting. It has tiles and glass everywhere. Let me explain. From the front, you can see tons of large windows that make it look like Hollywood movie house or something. The walls are adorned with beautiful white tiles and the doors are just there, plain old brown.

The tiles are nice but the glass is too much for my liking. It's not my business though.

Show time.

We walk into the building. The place is pretty calm. I half expected servants to be everywhere.
