Tempting Heart

Chapter 2

The school semester just ended. After vacation, Xiao Zhan will be in 11th grade and he is ready to move to Shanghai in the next few days.

He bid farewell to his classmates and teachers before the school ended. They all wish him well and the Director is so happy for Xiao Zhan's new journey.

"Xiao Zhan, I hope you do well while you are there. Take good care of yourself and Study well". The Director said.

Zhan smiled and thanked the Director for helping him to study in one of China's finest Schools.

"Zhan Zhan, If you are sad don't hesitate to call us, Okay? If someone bullies you tell me, I will surely travel to Shanghai and they will taste my fist". Ziyi said as she lifts his clenching fist.

"Aiyo, Zizi don't be so violent". Zhan chuckles. Ziyi cutely pouted then Xuan Lu pats the latter's head before facing Zhan.

"Zhan, You take good care of yourself. If anything happens, call us. Okay? Don't forget to take your suppressant If your heat is coming. If possible when you don't have class, don't ever go out of your room". Lulu said sounding like a Mom. Lulu is the eldest and that makes her the Mother in their squad. Zhan nods and embraces both of his friends.

Xiao Zhan spends the whole two days with his parents before his departure to Shanghai. They went on a picnic, shopping, and even went to temples. On his last day, He packed his things and clean his room. His mother prepares all his favorite dishes because she knows that his son will surely miss the Chongqing food.

At night, Zhan came to his parent's room and sleep with them. Cuddling together and silently drift to sleep.

The morning came and Zhan woke up early since his flight is at ten in the morning. His two best friends came to drop him off at the airport together with his parents.

Worry and Sadness were written on their faces as Xiao Zhan bids goodbye. They all hug him and wish him to be safe all the time.

"Ahhh! Shanghai, We finally met". Xiao Zhan muttered. He takes a deep breath as soon as he steps on the Airport. He smiles so brightly as he walks excitedly towards the exit. He was instructed that someone will pick him up and a few minutes later of looking around, A man who looks like the same age as he approached him.

"Excuse me, Are you Xiao Zhan?". The guy asked. Zhan silently nods as he stares at the unfamiliar guy in front of him.

"Oh, Good. Welcome to Shanghai, anyway I am Wang Zhoucheng, I am in the same year as you, and I was asked to pick you up today". He introduced.

Xiao Zhan was a little bit shy but then he felt that the latter seems nice he smiled at him. "It's nice to meet you, Zhoucheng. You can call me Zhan. Are we going to be classmates?". Zhan asked.

Zhoucheng smiled "Uh yeah". He replied.

"Are we roommates?". Zhan continued asking.

"Nope, we're not. Actually we have the room alone and you, you will be staying next door to mine". Zhoucheng answered. Zhan finds it cool to have the room alone since most of what he saw in the dramas students share the room with other students.

Zhoucheng explains everything to Zhan as they're driving back to the campus where the student dormitory located. He told Zhan about to rules and some school regulations since he was the one appointed to pick up Zhan, he is also the one who will tour him around the school before the new semester starts. Zhan who is the first time to travel the City was fascinated by the view while they're passing by. Zhoucheng smiles as he looks at Zhan whose eyes were shining.

"Is it your first time in Shanghai?". Zhoucheng asked.

Zhan smiles and nods. "Yes". He replied.

"Oh, then if we still have time left before the semester start, I'll tour you around". Zhoucheng suggested. Zhan looks at him in excitement. "Really?". Zhan asked.

Zhoucheng nods. "Yeah, of course".

"Welcome to Shanghai International School, Xiao Zhan!". Zhoucheng said as they both getting off the car. Zhan smiles brightly, cannot hide his happiness as he finally arrived at his dream school. Zhoucheng helps him bring his things to his room. The school campus was so quiet since most of the students went home for vacation.

Xiao Zhan couldn't believe that he is finally in Shanghai, seems like everything is still a dream for him since he steps out of the airplane. He was fascinated by everything and he can't hide the excitement he feels. The room he will be staying in was not like he is expecting, the room has a small kitchen area and a living area with a small wall tv, a small balcony that has an overlook of the buildings outside the campus. It also has its own bathroom and one single bed.

"Wow, I didn't expect my room would be like this". Zhan muttered. Zhoucheng chuckles as he heard what the latter said.

"That was my reaction when I first came here too". Zhoucheng said.

Zhoucheng decided to stay for a while to have a talk with Zhan. The two of them talk about a lot like their interest, life, and their gender. Zhan told Zhoucheng that he is an omega while Zhoucheng said he is a beta.

"Eh? Zhan, aren't you afraid of being alone in this city? Your parents aren't around". Zhoucheng asked in a worried tone for his new friend.

Zhan sigh. "I do, Honestly I am afraid but this is what I dream of". He replies sadly. Zhoucheng flashes a thin smile and pats Zhan's shoulder.

"Hm, don't worry from now on If you are in trouble you can call me, I'll be there". He said making the latter smile.

And on this day, Zhan and Zhoucheng became good friends.

The next day, Zhoucheng tour Zhan around the campus so that he would be familiar with the places when the class starts.

"Oh, I remember you like to paint right?". Zhoucheng asked and the latter nods.

Just then, they arrived in front of a tinted glass door. Zhan looks up and his face lightens up when he saw what the room for.

"Workshop"

"You can freely use this room as long as you don't have class". Zhoucheng said.

"Do students usually use this room?". Zhan asked. He wants to know for his safety because his heat might attack him all of the sudden.

"Not really, they rather do their works on their house". Zoucheng replied.

Zhan nods. Finally, he can have a place where he can enjoy his alone time while painting. It's his hobby since he was a kid. He sometimes gives his work to his friends as a birthday present. 

After the tour to some important places that Zhan should familiarize, Zhoucheng treats him for a dinner as his welcome party for Zhan since the latter is new to Shanghai. Zhan was shy so he told Zhoucheng that next time it'll be his treat. They both went back to the campus and bid goodbye to each other as soon as they arrived in their own respective room.

Zhan was happy. He finds Zoucheng friendly and kind despite having an intimidating face.
