Chapter 23

That night, Xiao Zhan went to Fanxing's unit. He arrived right after Yi Tian fell asleep. 

"He must be tired". Zhan said as he caresses his son's hair.

"Yes, he is. He plays a lot at Junxiang's house". Fanxing answered.

"Anyway, How's Yi Tian today? Did he trouble you?". Zhan asked. Fanxing sits beside him on the edge of the bed. Fanxing smiled and stared at his nephew dearly.

"No, he didn't. Actually, Junxiang's mom was very fond of him and she wanted to meet Yi Tian again". Fanxing replied.

Zhan chuckles. "No one could really resist his charm". He muttered.

Xiao Zhan thanked Fanxing for taking care of Yi Tian. It would be hard if Fanxing isn't around. Tonight, Xiao Zhan will stay for the night to sleep since tomorrow will be his Dad's surgery. His mom went home with Ziyi, while Xuan Lu and Zhoucheng were staying at the hospital to take care of Mr.Xiao.

Xiao Zhan has to travel to Fanxing's place because Yi Tian is staying with the latter. His son will definitely look for him when he wakes up or when he doesn't see his Poppy for a day.

The next morning, Xiao Zhan woke up and prepare breakfast for them. Fanxing woke up next and help Zhan prepare the table. A few minutes later, Yi Tian woke up and walks out of the room while rubbing his eyes.

"Tian Tian, don't rub your eyes too much". Xiao Zhan said. Yi Tian immediately stops rubbing his eyes when he heard Poppy's voice.

The kid's eyes widen and his face brightens with a cheeky smile. "Poppy!!!". Yi Tian exclaimed and run towards his Poppy. Zhan crouches down to level Yi Tian and pulls him for an embrace. "Good Morning, My little one". Zhan greets. 

Yi Tian giggles and peck a kiss on his Poppy's cheeks. "I haven't seen you yesterday afternoon and evening, I miss you, Poppy". Yi Tian muttered sadly and cutely pouts.

Xiao Zhan's heart melts as soon as he sees his son sadly pouts. He pinches his cheeks and chuckles. "I miss you more, little one. How was your day, yesterday?". Zhan asked as he carries Yi Tian to sit.

"I had fun Poppy! I went to a big house and a room full of legos!". Yi Tian happily replied. Xiao Zhan feels warmth in his heart to see his son very happy and his relief to see him enjoy yesterday. Fanxing actually told him about Yi Tian's day yesterday. Fanxing felt very happy for his nephew. He knew that Tian Tian doesn't have many friends and even someone with who he could share the same interest, he somehow wish that Yi Tian will finally meet Junxiang's brother.

After they ate their breakfast, Fanxing help wash the dishes while Xiao Zhan prepares Yi Tian's clothes for the day. The little kid on the other hand, sits comfortably at the couch while watching his favorite show, Spongebob.

"A-Xing, I'll leave Tian Tian to you again, Are you sure it's fine?". Xiao Zhan asked. He's worried that he might burden his cousin as he babysits his son. The younger should've enjoyed his vacation however he can't since there's no one to take care of Yi Tian while Zhan attends his Father at the hospital.
