This is the real Temple of Bacchus in Baalbek, Lebanon, that inspired me for the area where the breeding club meets at the palace.
In the book, it is said when the heroine enters the temple that the sky is visible above the her, giving her a sense of grounding. There's an invisible roof, most likely magical, keeping out the elements, exposing her to the moon and stars, whose brilliance are shining over people in the room, devouring and exposing several gangs in various states of play.
Anchored by giant massive columns, each unique, juxtaposition in linewith the walls and space that are overladen with beautifully detailed statuesof bipeds and wolves, some of which are in scandalous positions of copulation.
