"Sherly, there's a homeless mutant girl next to the door" Jane said as she set the grocery bags on the counter. "What?" the Daylighter Vampire looked up from her work. "A girl. 12-years-old. With wings. Black wings"

Time Skip----------------------

Sherlock studied the young girl. She indeed had pitch-black wings, folded neatly onto her back. She only wore a white tank top and blue shorts, both of them badly ripped. Cuts, scars, scrapes and bruises littered her thin body. Experimented. Was the detectives only thought. With a sigh, she picked the girl up and brought her into the flat. She stirred and her bright violet eyes blinked open.

"Who did this to her?" Jane asked as her girlfriend placed her carefully on the couch. Said person yawned and said in a surprisingly high, bird-like voice "I'm right here, y'know. Are you new Winglets?" "Jane blinked. "Winglets? What?" Surprised, the girl sat up. " I'm not at the School?"

Lilith woke to someone singing. Blinking rapidly, she took in her surroundings. It didn't look like the School. And no-one ever sang in it either. What had happened? The last thing she remembered was the brilliant feeling of escaping the Itex Sussex HQ. She must of fallen asleep. And someone brought her in? The thing was, where was in? And was she safe here? Closing her eyes, she lost herself in the singing. It sounded like a birds.

Jane noticed that even with still-bleeding wounds on the girls arms, she dove into the scrambled eggs like she hadn't eaten anything for a few months. She looked like it, with her thin arms and shallow face.

Sherlock obsereved the girl. When they had come to her she sat on the edge of sofa, as if to avoid them. She spoke with a light accent that changed from irish to British every few seconds. Her long, black, wild hair went past her shoulders, and her mood changed faster than the eye could blink. She had sharp, pointed teeth like a dog and her eyes roamed the room with a almost predatory gaze, evaluating anything and everything. Her hands were steady and very strong. She never relaxed, even while eating. it was like looking at a coiled snake, ready to spring.

At first, Lilith refused to let Jane near her to bandadge her wounds. After a while, when she revealed she was dating a vampire, Lilith sat down and looked at the tall woman with renewed interest. There was certainly an un-earthly aura around her, with her pale skin and piercing gaze.

Sherlock may be a high-functioning sociopath, but she was also a female, and her fingers itched to do something about the girls hair.

"I'm Jane, that's Sherlock. Who are you?" Jane asked as she wrapped the girls ankle. She turned towards her. "Lilith. Lilith Blackwaters Adams"
