Y/n's PoV:

Annabeth was still going off on us... but more quietly now.

Annabeth: Right... now that I've established why you're all idiots, lets go over why you have do- uh... Y/n... who is that in the doorway?

I looked over to where Annabeth had her eyes fixed and saw a man that was wearing some shorts, a hawaiian style shirt, a hat saying "neptunes lucky fishing hat", flip flops and some oddly characteristic sea green eyes. I leaned back onto the wall and smirked

Y/n: Well... surprising seeing you here Poseidon. How can we help you?

Poseidon: Y/n, it's a pleasure to see you again! I was actually hoping to ask something of you, but first I'd like to talk with my son

Percy: Uh... hi dad. How's... ruling the sea?

Poseidon: It's been a small bit... stressful recently. May I sit?

Percy: Huh? Oh yeah, go ahead

Poseidon sat next to Percy, meaning Percy was now between Annabeth and his father... should I even joke about the harm he could come to? Annabeth was blushing a small bit after she failed to identify Poseidon.

Poseidon: Anyway, how have you been doing? You too Annabeth.

Annabeth: Um! I've been good. Thank you... how's Olympus?

Y/n: Well there's less bickering

Poseidon: Haha. That is true, ever since Percy here studied for what... STA's? SAT's? Athena has been a lot more... approving of you two. It has calmed things down between us?

Jason: seaweed brain studied?

Poseidon: How rude of me, how are the rest of you doing?

All the demigods nodded to some variation of good. They were pretty on edge given a literal god has just walked in to the room... despite the fact that Thanatos, Serana and I were also gods or comparable to...

Poseidon: We'll have more time to catch up should you ever want to come to Atlantis again. Amphitrite does want to see more of you. Bring Annabeth along

Percy: Are... are you inviting me to Atlantis?

Poseidon: Percy, it's always open to you and your friends unless... something is happening. Like right now. Y/n... I could use your aid

Y/n: Whatever with?

Poseidon: Are you familiar with R'lyeh?

Y/n: The sunken prison of Cthulhu, yes. Why?

Poseidon: It is... opening. Given it's in my domain I must deal with him somehow but it is a lot older and more powerful than I

Y/n: So you ask for me. Alright let's go

We flashed out to point nemo, the point of the Earth farthest from any land and oddly close to R'lyeh. Poseidon now appeared with a great trident in his hand and wearing a sea green toga, a crown, with three jagged points, the middle of which was larger and held a blue gem in it's center. He gestured for me to follow him as he traveled underwater where before long we came across an island, which was of course R'lyeh... well the top of it anyway.

Poseidon and I walked upon the muddy shores of the city to find a set of doors impossibly large for any human structure and so grotesque in nature that no man could stand the sight of them for long. They were being hit from the inside. Cthulhu had awoken.

Poseidon: You see now the extent of my issue

Y/n: No matter. These... 'great old ones' as they are called are my responsibility... though I should ask my brother to check for the rest located on Earth. Gods these things have always been a pain.
