MISHBIR - HEARTFELT

So Kuhu's been annoying me since yesterday. I know she's upset but she had no right to accuse Mishti and ask her to solve the problem. I've been loving Abir nowadays cos he was Mishti's dhaal but again he supported his brother and family peace. So this is just a one or two shot story to show what I think Mishti feels

Acc to today's precap, Mishti listens to Big Ben telling Vishambar that she'll throw Mishti and Kuhu out of the house if they don't send Abir and Kunal back home

My story starts from there

Mishti went back to her room, thinking hard about everything that had happened since yesterday. The magazine cover having a picture of Abir and herself instead of Kuhu and Kunal, Kuhu blaming her once again for this mistake, Abir and Kunal trying to pacify them both, The conversation between Badi Ma and Varsha aunty, the disappointment and anger that Ma had not yet shown at that time, her determination to teach Kuhu that she cannot do what she wants all the time, Abir's anger that Mishti couldn't control herself, Kunal and him being so fed up with the fight that they decided to stay away until the two sisters reconciled, Ma finding out in such a fashion, Kuhu blaming Mishti once again, Ma shouting at her Badi Ma and her Bade Papa, Jasmeet Chachi blaming Mishti once more and now, Ma's threats.

"Is this all my fault? I could have avoided this if I hadn't been intent on teaching Kuhu that she cannot have her way all the time. Because of us, Ma is upset, Kunal and Abir do not feel like they can stay here and everyone at home are also sad and worried."

She recalled Parul Maasi telling that Kuhu's heart was in the right place but that she was childish. She recalled her chachi telling that she would break this household as she was from a broken house.

"Why? We just got out of such a big problem. I finally got over that traumatising experience and made up with the whole family. Even Ma had finally accepted me and I was looking forward to the rest of my life with Abir with happiness. But you didn't let us be happy even for a day, Kanha Ji."

She wiped her tears. She was the elder daughter-in-law of this house. She was the elder sister. She was the one who would be blamed as usual. So, she would take the high road once more. She wouldn't let Ma be away from her sons.

Mishti got up and went to Ma's room. "Ma!"

"What do you want, Mishti? Do you want to fight some more with Kuhu?"

"No Ma! I came to tell you that I won't let you be away from your sons. If they want Kuhu and me to reconcile, then I will do that. This was our problem and I will solve it."

"Those are pretty words, Mishti. But I hope you will actually follow through on them."

"Ji, Ma!"

Her heart heavy, Mishti called the publishing house and enquired about the error. She got all the information from them and knocked on Kuhu's door. Kuhu opened it. "Kunal? Oh it's you. What do you want? Do you want to shout at me some more?"

"No, I don't want to fight with you or compete with you. I came to apologise for telling that I will get a poster of the magazine cover kept in the hall and I also want to apologise for all the other harsh things I said. But I meant it that day and I mean it today. I didn't orchestrate this error. It wasn't my fault and I hope you get that. I want Abir and Kunal to come home so please forgive me, Kuhu. Nothing like this will happen again."

Kuhu stared at her for a long time, then nodded and said, "Alright Mishti. I forgive you but I'm holding you to your word. Next time don't steal my moment, even accidentally."
