This is my first ever fanfic so cut me some slack, but that doesn't mean I don't want criticism advice on how I can make my stories better would be much appreciated. This goes for both writing style and places to take the storyline. This story tackles some heavy topics so I suggest that if you struggle from mental health then find something else. I don't own BNHA or the artwork used but you probably already guessed  that. Anyway, enough from me, please enjoy!

3RD PERSON P.O.V

Izuku always wanted to be a hero so when he heard the news that he was quirkless he felt destroyed. He'd dreamed of being the number one hero since he first saw all might's debut video. He admired the determination he showed and the smile that would show on his face while he took down villains. Knowing he could never be that person who saved the day, spreading hope to the faces of the world, left him as nothing but a husk of what he once was. That happy go-lucky kid was now dead, and in its place stood an empty soul with no dreams, inspiration or desires.

When he got to school the next day his class could see the difference in his presence. They could sense his sadness before he even entered the room. His best friend Katsuki Bakugou or "Kachan" was the first to speak up. He was his best and only friend as Izuku was pretty antisocial and even then they were only friends because of each others mothers freindship.

Bakugou: " What's wrong Izuku you look down" he asked. In response Izuku looked up at him with dead eyes for around 5 seconds before he spoke up in a monotone voice, the opposite of his constant smile and bouncy personality. He didn't smile or frown he just looked at him, like he didn't know who he was.

Izuku: " Oh, hey Kachan, I went to see what my quirk was yesterday" he said in a cold tone

Bakugou: " DUDE THATS AWSOME! What did you get I bet its super cool, not as cool as mine though!" he joked.

Izuku: " I don't have one..." he muttered

Bakugou: " Huh what do you mean you don't have one? I thought everyone got one?"

Izuku:" Not me I guess"

Bakugou: " look dude I don't care if its a lame quirk I'm your friend so you don't need to lie about not having one"

Izuku: " I'm not lying why would I be I just don't have one..."

Bakugou: " C'mon dude seriously it's cool just t-"

Izuku:" I DONT HAVE A QUIRK OK JUST DROP IT!"

Surprised by the sudden shout, the entire class was now staring at Izuku like he was some kind of monster. "Is he really quirkless ?" "Dude what a loser" "Everybody has quirks who knew he was so pathetic" "I can't believe Bakugou's actually talking to one of them let alone its friend "

Bakugou:" what eww I'm not its friend I'm just here to make fun of him isn't that right stupid deku" Bakugou said shooting a glare at Izuku, filled with venom that shook Izuku to his very core. Bakugou wasn't defending Izuku from the onslaught of discrimination that was being thrown at him, no. he was throwing him under the bus, knowing that hanging out with someone quirkless could end up with him being made fun of too. As Bakugou said this, he backed it up with a punch to the head, knocking Izuku backwards and smashing his head against the classroom floor. Dazed and confused, Izuku looked up as his ears stopped ringing to see the entire class laughing at him as he tried to stand up but instead as he got to his knees he slumped over and threw up, causing him to be laughed at even more. The light-headedness only got worse as he passed out in a pool of his own sick.

he woke up in his room at home surrounded by all might merchandise from posters to figures to bedsheets. all of the merch had all might smiling at him and his gaze seemed to follow him around the room. he couldn't help but compare all the smiling faces around him to the ones who laughed at him during humiliation he went through just hours ago. Izuku's mind went blank as he destroyed it all throwing toys and tearing posters as well as trying to rip his bed sheets but he was too weak to do so. Due to the loud bangs against the walls, Inko ran up to Izuku's room to see what was happening. when she walked in, she saw his room smashed up and Izuku crying curled up in a ball in the corner. All Inko could think to do was try and ask what was wrong with him to which she got a heart breaking response.
