A New Hope

Evie's POV

After I had introduced myself to all the children at the campfire I followed these 2 boys who looked like twins to the Hermes cabin. I walked in and eventually found a unoccupied bunk. I then realised that the whole time I was still in my outfit from the party. No wonder those girls were obsessing over my outfit (I had found out they were daughters of Aphrodite). I then tapped Connor on the shoulder. "Hey Connor do you know where I can get some more clothes, it's a camp I can't stay in this," I said. "Sure just go to the infirmary they've always keep spare clothes there for new demigods. Normally I'd go and steal some for you but I'm too tired so goodnight." I laughed, " Ok then see you tomorrow  I guess." I then made my way to the infirmary which I remember passing on the way to the Hermes cabin.

I entered the infirmary and turned the lights on expecting nobody to be there but then I saw him. He had blonde hair and yellowish brown eyes and he looked pretty good. Stop it Evie mami would never approve of a crush especially if you just met the person.

Doug's POV

I was in the infirmary about to leave when I see that the light is on. I turn around and then I see her. To put it simply she was gorgeous. She had long black hair and turquoise blue eyes that shone in the light. I swear she was more beautiful then all the girls in the Aphrodite cabin combined.

*back to Evie's POV*

"Hi I'm Evie who are you," I asked. "My name is Doug," he replied. He then asked ,"Whose your godly parent I don't think I've ever seen you around here before and what are you doing here so late at night you don't seem to be injured?" "First question I'm undetermined and you haven't seen me before because I just got here. I came here to get some clothes because I currently don't have any." "Oh that makes sense, hold on a sec I'll get you some," he said. "Um what is your clothes size?" "Oh right, completely forgot about that, sorry. Erm I'm a extra small," I said with a slight blush on my cheeks. "Ok here you are" he said and handed me a black backpack, "I've put in 2 camp half blood T-shirts, a pair of shorts and jeans. I've also added some black trainers and a toiletry bag as well as a small pouch of ambrosia." I looked at him quizzically, "Umm what's ambrosia?" "Oh hehe guess I forgot you're new. Ambrosia is the food of the gods, if us demigods are injured then we usually eat that to help but we have too much or we'd burn up. We could also drink nectar that's the drink of the gods though that's better if you are at a camp and not on a quest." "That makes sense, thank you." "You're welcome," he replied while flashing a dazzling smile. "I have a question, who's your godly parent?" "Oh I'm a child of Apollo god of the sun, archery,music, poetry and healing." "Oh cool, well I should probably get going , I don't know about you but I'm exhausted so I guess I'll see you around?" "Yeah." "Well goodnight Doug," I said and made my way back to the Hermes cabin. "Goodnight Evie," he called back.

As soon as I opened the door I was greeted by 2 very eager children of Hermes who were looking at me very expectedly. "Well you look very cheerful considering the fact that you just came back from the infirmary," said Travis. "Did you meet someone... special?" asked Connor with a mischievous look on his face. "Umm n no," I said while I tried to hide the very obvious blush on my cheeks. "You're lying Ev, we may have met today but the look on your face says it all," said Connor. "So who did you meet," asked Travis. "Fine I met Doug a son of Apollo now if you don't mind I'm going to bed," I said and went into the bathroom to change into the hoodie and leggings that Doug had forgotten to mention when he was listing all the things he packed. I changed and brushed my teeth then went to my bunk. I placed my backpack on the floor next to it and jumped into my bed. I fell asleep to the sound of other Hermes kids sounds of sleep and a few complaints from the Stolls begging for more information about Doug. 'Maybe this won't be so bad after all' i thought and closed my eyes drifting off into a semi peaceful sleep.

Hey guys so I'm back, I decided to continue this story even though it barely has any reads compared to my other story. This story might not get updated as much as my other one.
