Lauren's POV:

After having a restless night, with no sleep, I woke up reasonably early at about 7:30 am to the smell of freshly made pancakes from down in the kitchen. I dragged myself out of my warm sheets and stumbled over to my window to open up my blinds to let some light into my room. 'Here we go again Lauren, another unpredictable day ahead of you'. I mumbled to myself with a slight yawn.

As I walked down the stairs, entering the kitchen, I stood in the doorway, looking at Lisa and Chad laughing and joking around with each other. I wish my relationship ended up like that, happy, engaged, and just having the time of our lives being in each other's company. My smile quickly turned into a frown as I reminded myself of the time I was hopeful that I was gonna get that, but now, I'm not so sure of it.

Deep into my thoughts, I hadn't noticed that Lisa had turned around and was trying to get my attention. 'Laurennnn, can you hear me?' She exclaimed while her hand was waving right in front of my face. As soon as my mind came back to reality, I shot her a quick smile. 'H-hey Lise, umm, it smells delicious down here!' I told her whilst avoiding eye contact where possible. 'I made your favourite Laur! Pancakes!' Lisa smiled and grabbed my hands as she rushed me over to the dining table, where Chad was sitting, already eating his. He looked up from his plate of food and gave me a warm smile. 'Morning Laur' he said to me while handing over the syrup to put on my breakfast. 'Hey Chad, you're in a good mood this morning' I told him, looking a little confused. He chuckled to himself and continued to eat his food. 'How could I not be! I have an absolute amazing fiance who makes the most amazing pancakes in the entire universe!' Lisa turned around from the stove with her plate of food ready to eat. 'Oh my gosh Chad, shut up!' She exclaimed, hiding her blush that was slowly covering her cheeks. 'You do make some pretty good pancakes Lise, gosh I forgot how much I missed them!' I exclaimed. She smiled at me as I took a bite out of my breakfast.

We all finished our food and I stood up collecting all of our plates and headed over to the sink. 'Laur, you don't have to wash those, I'll do it'. Lisa chuckled as she came up behind me. 'No Lise, you cooked, I'll wash up. It's the least I can do. You've been taking care of me for the past week, I have to do something in return' I told her, already filling the sink up with water.

After I had finished washing up the dishes, she pulled me over to the couch to talk with me. 'So have you made up your mind, are you gonna come with us tonight?' Lisa looks at me with pleading eyes and I can't help but smile at her. 'Yes, I suppose I'll come.' I giggled as she stood up and started dancing around the room. I laughed at her actions and it wasn't long before she pulled me up and we were both jumping around the living room, laughing with each other. We both sat down and she pulled me close to her. 'You know Lauren, I'm glad you're getting over this whole situation. I know it can be difficult, trust me, I've been there. You're finally easing back into yourself, and I can't wait for you to finally be back.' She looked at me and gave me a soft smile, my eyes started to fill as she told me this. 'What would I do without you, eh Lise? I'm so glad I'm here with you right now.' She leaned in close to my face and I did the same, as our foreheads touched. 'Even though we're sisters, Laur, just know that you are my best friend and I'm always here for you, no matter what happens.'

We both stood up from the couch contemplating what to do for the next couple of hours. 'Do you know what you're wearing tonight?' She asked me. I smiled and shook my head no. Just as I did that I felt her grab onto my wrist and drag me upstairs to my room. 'Lise, we have like, seven hours until we have to be there!' I informed her. 'Exactly, not enough time Laur!' She continued to take me to my room where we spent the next few hours trying on clothes I hadn't worn in a while, figuring out what I liked, and questioned why I had even bought some of the items in the first place. It was really the first time in years, I had let go of everything and started to have fun. I wish it could be like this forever.
