Getting Over Him

Lauren's POV:

It's been a couple of days since I've been at Lisa's house since, for the last few years I had lived with Christian in his house. His parents had quite a lot of money so they had multiple houses. They usually stayed at the bigger house about a 20 minute drive away from where Christian and me were staying. They let him have one of the houses for him and all of his friends to hang out, but since I was his girlfriend, and no parents were there to tell me I couldn't stay, he let me live with him.

I lived at Lisa's prior to moving in with Christian, just because I always felt like I could talk to her about anything and she wouldn't judge me for it. Don't get me wrong, I could talk to my whole family about anything and everything and I still love them dearly, but I don't know, it was just this special bond that I have always had with Lisa, which I haven't had with anybody else before.

Recently Lisa's fiance Chad moved in with her and so going back there a couple days ago felt kind of weird. Not because I don't like Chad, I think he's amazing and he treats Lisa like an absolute princess. I'm just not used to living in a house with my sister and her soon to be husband. I'd spent a lot of time in my room just thinking about all of the good times I had with Christian, but then kept remembering all of the bad things he ever did to me. I'd try and go downstairs sometimes and have some time with Lisa and Chad, but they were all 'lovey-dovey' and it just made me even more depressed, because that's what my relationship used to be like.

I was sat up in my room on my bed, scrolling through my photos on my phone, trying to delete all of the ones with Christian in them, when I heard my door creak open. 'Hey Laur, just came to check up on you and bring you a snack' Lisa smiled at me holding a tray with a turkey sandwich and some chips with a bottle of water in her hands. As she walked over to my bed she sat herself down on the edge. 'Thanks Lise, you didn't have to' I said to her, picking up my tray and moving it to where I could reach the food. 'I know, you've said that for the past three days Laur, but as your older sister, who loves you more than anyone in the entire world, I need to make sure you're eating properly.' I take a sip of water and start to take small bites out of my sandwich. Usually I would be eating this like there was no tomorrow, as it was my favourite snack, but I just wasn't in the mood to eat. 'Laur I hate seeing you so sad and quiet, usually around me you light up the room, laughing and making jokes, but you're just so..down.' Lisa looked deep into my eyes trying to read my thoughts and feelings, but she was right, I was just emotionless. I wasn't sure if I was unhappy that my relationship was over, or relieved that I'd gotten myself out of that situation. Lisa lays down next to me and we both look up at the ceiling and start talking about all the fun we can have together. 'Hey Laur, I know that you're probably not in the mood for this right now but it might take your mind off of this whole deal for a while.' She turns her head and looks at me and I look back. 'What?' I ask confused and tired. 'Well me and Chad have been invited to a party by a friend of ours tomorrow night and well, we figured you could come with us if you want to. Of course only if you're up to it, I can stay here with you if you'd like that instead.' I look back up at the ceiling with my hands resting on my stomach. Maybe I should go out and have fun, I haven't gotten to that in the past few years as Christian didn't like other people looking at me, he didn't really let me go to parties all that much, except family ones. 'I dunno Lise, I'll see if I'm up for it tomorrow, I guess I could go and have a little fun for once in a while.' I say to her as she smiles and grabs my hand. 'We're gonna have a fun time okay?' Lisa says. I just nod and yawn. 'Well, you should get some sleep ladybug, I'll see you in the morning, I love you.' 'I love you too Moose' I smile as I close my eyes and drift into a long deep sleep.

Y/N POV:

'Ughh I don't know Chloe, It's just i've got a lot of exams coming up which means lots of work and a lot of stress.' I said to my best friend who is currently hanging around my house sitting up in my room. 'That is exactly why you should come, Y/N, to let go of all that stress and relax for once in a while, you're so hard on yourself all the time, you never give yourself enough 'me' time' My best friend looks at me with pleading eyes. 'It's not like a stupid frat party with a bunch of teenagers there is it?' I ask her 'Because if so, I'm not going' 'It's not, it's just a casual hang out, my friend invited me and said 'bring a friend', and um, you're my friend, my best friend.' Chloe looked at me, now stood up looking straight down at me. It took me a minute to respond as I was still contemplating my decision. 'Okay fine, I'll come, but I'm not staying late.' I hear a 'yay' come out of her mouth as she starts looking through my closet already planning my outfit. I giggle at her actions 'Okay dude, It's like 9pm, get out, I'm tired and need to sleep.' I look at her and laugh. 'I'll be back tomorrow, please don't change your mind.' She turns back to me with a worried look. 'I will if you don't leave me alone for once, later Chlo!' 'Bye Y/N!' I hear her shout as she walks out of my house. I giggle to myself thinking about tomorrow night, maybe I will have some fun, meet some new people. I keep thinking as I drift off into a deep sleep, tomorrow is gonna be a long day.
