teddy Altman stood at the nurses desk in the emergency department writing notes up on a current patient, she puts down her paperwork and approaches her ex fiancé and friend dr hunt, they start to talk but then they are both informed that an ambulance is on its way in with a patient from a car accident.

they walk out the doors with the residents and they wait for the ambulance to stop, the probie stops the truck but teddy and Owen are shocked to see fire trucks park up outside the hospital, but they don't realize who the patient is.

ben get out the truck and greets the team of doctors, everyone from station 19 rush to the PR truck and help bring the patient out of the vehicle.

Teddy: wow who is the patient they must be royalty if you lot are all helping bring them out the ambulance.

Maya: the patient is one of our own.

Owen: oh right lets get them inside but may we ask who is it?

Maya: its lieutenant Herrera.

Teddy: okay lets get her inside please and what are her injuries?

everyone unloads the stretcher, soon they are wheeling Andy into the emergency department, they rush in with the stretcher through the doors, they take her to trauma one.

Ben: right her injuries are a head laceration and she has been unconscious since we got to her, she has a dislocated shoulder on her left side, injured knee probably bruised, and she has suspected broken ribs on both side from where she hit the steering wheel.

Teddy: right lets get her transferred to the other bed, and someone page doctor shepherd and Maggie Pearce please.

the nurse pages the two doctors, they receive the pages they rush to see the knew patient, teddy and Owen start working on Andy.

Amelia is the first to arrive after being paged she walks into the trauma room not expecting to find the wife of her current patient is the new patient.

inside trauma one

Amelia walks in and immediately gets to work.

Amelia: what have we got?

Owen: car crash has a laceration to head just need a consult scans have been done results are pending.

Amelia walks to the bed and she looks to the patient.

Amelia: oh my god Andy.

Teddy: you know her?

Amelia: yeah her husband is a patient of mine and she is supposed to be upstairs supporting him through his recovery, well least she has a reason as to why she is not with him.

Teddy: well don't tell him anything until Maggie has seen her.

Amelia: so what's the prognosis so far?

Owen: dislocated shoulder and bruised but link has put it back in place, head injury and bruises and cuts, but our  main concern is her lungs she has four broken ribs confirmed two on each side, one torn an artery in her chest, and her blood pressure is low, teddy put in a chest tube but its not help.

Amelia: where's Maggie?

Owen: in surgery doing a bypass operation.

Amelia: how long will she be?

Teddy: to long she needs surgery now if she has a chance of making it.

Amelia: is there an OR ready?
