chapter 4

grey sloan memorial hospital

mid morning 

amelia finished talking to Robert her patient. she continues to see her other patients once she finished seeing to them she decided to walk to the icu and the surgery waiting room, when she gets to the icu she sees her sister Maggie Pearce stood at the nurses station filling out paperwork, she walks up to her and she waits until she is finished before she speaks to her.

Amelia: hey sis how is your day going?

Maggie: fine so how is the little guy?

Amelia: he is fine but I am not here to talk about me and link and our new family, but I am here to ask about a patient.

Maggie: which patient?

Amelia: the one teddy operated on last night while you where stuck in theatre, the firefighter.

Maggie: oh Andy yeah she is my patient.

Amelia: how is she this morning?

Maggie: good still unconscious she has a chest drain in, her oxygen saturation is looking good we might bring her off the vent some time today.

Amelia: good do her friends and family know?

Maggie: yeah most of her team had to go to work this morning, but her aunt and her aunts friend are still here.

Amelia: you mean the lady Elena.

Maggie: yeah but they are weird.

Amelia: I would say they told you a lie, you do know Elena is more than friend.

Maggie: wait who is she?

Amelia: she is Andy mum who supposed to have died twenty years ago.

Maggie: oh right so why is she here if she hasn't seen her daughter for most of her life.

Amelia: her father died and know he is gone they want to see Andy, but I have someone else who wants to meet them so I will go and see them in the waiting room, and when I have done  that am I allowed to bring Andy's husband to see her.

Maggie: sure let me know when he gets here I will be happy to explain everything to him.

Amelia: I will and thank you see you soon.

Amelia walks off to the surgery waiting room.

surgery waiting room 

elena and Sandra sat waiting fir hours for news on there daughter and niece, Sandra sits back but then she looks up when she feels someone approaching her, she looks to see Amelia walking to her.

Amelia: hi you must be Andy's mum and aunt?

Sandra: yes I am Sandra her aunt and this is my sister Elena her mum.

Amelia: great to meet you don't worry Andy is doing fine last time I checked, but that's not why I am here, I have a patient who is close to Andy, and they would like to meet you if that is okay.

Sandra: yeah that is fine.

Amelia: I will have to take you to him because he is currently recovering from surgery on his spine and leg.

Sandra: that's fine lead us to him please.

Amelia: fine lets go.

Sandra and Elena get up and they follow Amelia to the room where Robert was.
